I went from NY to PA and all I did was apply to the hospitals I was interested in. Although I don't doubt that it would help to get your license ahead of time, I never got the impression that the only thing holding me back was the out-of-state license. I did the explaining why I was interested in moving and it was accepted.
Good luck!
Get your licence ahead of time it quickens the process. I got a job, moved to the state then waited and waited for my licence. I was lucky my company paid me to do courses whilst I waited for my licence but I dont know that many facilities would be willing to do this.
I would have sat for 4 weeks without a job or money if they didnt
If you know exactly where you want to move and are fairly confident of getting a job there, go ahead and apply for your license ahead of time; it will show that you're serious about moving. But if you're applying to several states, it will be all right if you wait until you have a job offer or probable offer before you get the license. Read up ahead of time on what it will take to get your license endorsed so you can talk knowledgeably about the process at an interview.
I traveled to another state for a job interview and while they didn't offer me the job on the spot, they encouraged me to apply for the license right away. I took that on faith that they were probably going to offer me a job, and they did. My license was ready before my start date a month later.

i want to move to another state and i want to find a job before i move to another state. how do you find a job before you move to another state? do you endorse your license to state that you want to relocate before you apply for a job or do you just apply for a job and explain yourself at the job interview that you want to relocate and am looking for a job?
