I graduated in December and tomorrow I am finally starting my job as an RN!
I will be working at a LTC facility that I have been working at as a CNA for the past two and a half years. I am a little nervous, but not as nervous as I would be if I were starting somewhere completely unfamilar. The thing I am most nervous about is the fact that I will now have to oversee the work the CNAs are doing. It will be weird to go from being their equal to being their boss.
I'm also excited that I will no longer be working nocs. I will be working evening shifts now, although I will be training on nocs and days so I can pick up shifts. But I am so glad to be done working full time nocs. I have been doing it for 2 years now and it is really starting to wear on me. I'm looking forward to feeling like a normal person again!

Congrats!! Keep positive and keep learning. Having been a CNA will be very helpful. But remember you are the RN now and the RN duties come first. It may be tempting to do both to feel like a "team player", but make sure your RN duties are completed.
There will always be interruptions...there are in any sector of nursing. Let us know how you do/ are doing.
