Wow! Today was one of the best day of my life. I received a call that changed my life. I got accepted to the CRNA program at Union University. I will be starting school in August. I've been coming to this site since 2008 and I only had an associate back then. Hard work does pay off. For others who desire to go to CRNA school, please follow your heart. Let absolutely NOTHING stand in your way. I am a woman of faith and with God, nothing is impossible.

Omg! Congrats on your exciting news.. I'm trying to get where you are now.. The gre is discouraging me a lot.. And I do mean a lot.. To the point where I'm like forget it.. idk what to do at this point..
Hi Laalisha,
I didn't take the GRE. I don't believe in the GRE because it's not an indicator of how well I can learn in school. Do not allow the GRE to stand in your way. There are plenty of great programs that accept students without the GRE. Union University is one of them. My BSN gpa is a 3.54 and I took a few grad-level courses because I wanted to show that I can handle the coursework. My gpa from the grad courses is a 3.64. I also took the CCRN which was a plus. Thomas Jefferson in Philly is another school. There are plenty of them. Google all-crna schools website and you will find schools that do not require the gre. I know of two schools that recently dropped the gre requirement. My personal quote in life is this, "I will do what I need to do, to get to where I want to go." Lol! You can borrow it. I was working at Emory University and my director wouldn't grant me a transfer to the icu. I packed my family and moved to California for an icu job. It was all worth it. Thanks for the congrats...I am on cloud nine right now. I know school is going to be tough, but I am tougher. Lol!
Thank you so much for responding.. And omg your words of encouragement are wonderful..I am CCRN.. What graduate classes do you recommend? And did you do yours online or on site..

Congrats to you, it is great to see that making sacrifices paid off. I bet you feel very proud of yourself.
May the next big adventure begin! And you will rock it.
i took grad-level patho, nursing research 1, leadership in nursing from Jacksonville University. I attended their program as an educator tract and after 3 classes, I stopped because it can get a bit pricey. I also took a bio/organic course (CH 140) at Oregon State University. You can do this if you want it. Wishing you the best.

Thank you so much ICUman. I am ready, yet I know the road is not easy. I've worked to hard to get here and I am dedicated to my career. Thanks for your kind words.

GaMommy81,
Thank you so much. You will do well and God bless you too.
It feels wonderful Dexterrosa; I feel like I won $100 Billion dollars. Lol! Only because I had so many set backs and road blocks. But not giving up is the best feeling in the world. Thanks again for the congrats.

Yeah, the CVICU experience i am sure played more of a part of it than the CCRN.
My manger and director used the "CVICU will get you into an CRNA school easier" line to convince me to accept my job. Luckily for me, my Alma Mater has a CRNA school that heavily favors alumni.
Congrats, and good luck!!
