I really don't know where to start. What should I do first? My aunt is egging me on to take NCLEX. I just currently passed NLE, I'm an unexperienced nurse.
I've read a lot about NCLEX here in the internet, but I still don't understand all of them, I mean... where will I start?
Please help...

I agree with suns. I did not take my NLE, and at first it's hard. I recommend you read the Kaplan strategy book, read La Charity for prioritization because NCLEX have increased Management of Care this Year, I recommend Feuer for content and Know the Precaution stuff. I hope this helps you.

If you haven't already done so starting point would be registering with a state board of nursing. Next suggest is to read this forum where many have written what worked for them

You need to decide first what state you're going to apply for.
I recommend you take Kaplan and Saunders.
you mean the book?

I also took the exam and failed and I am studying again. I am using this books: Saunders Comprehensive Review and PDA by LaCharity. I will also do Kaplan and NCSBN online after finishing the two books.

Hi Mhay2x!
I'm a Filipino nurse too. It's really hard to know where to start in taking NCLEX-RN Exam. Anyway, you may find this simple guide to help you get through:
1. Look for possible Board of Nursing states where you would like to be licensed. You may consider the requirements you need to submit for you to be elligible to take the exam and the location (meaning if you do have any relatives in that certain state or job offer/opportunity in that state). You make go to this site for you to see the lists of requirements each U.S. state is requiring us (foreign-trained nurse) to submit to them NCSBN
2. Once you have finally decided to where you would like to be licensed, complete the requirement/s as well as the necessary fee/s and send them to the Board of Nursing of your choice. Please take note that requirements and fees vary for each U.S. State.
3. Once you have submitted your elligibility, you may wait for a response from your Board of Nursing. Whether you are elligible or not, if not, the Board of Nursing may ask additional requirement/s from you, complete them and submit them accordingly. The response of the Board of Nursing also varies from each U.S State.
4. While waiting for this, you may want to start your review. You may want to enroll on a NCLEX-RN review center like Allgen(Allgen) or Rachel Allen(Rachell Allen Reviewers USA NCLEX IELTS Review Center, Nursing Review Center, Nursing Review Center Manila, Nursing Review Philippines, Best Nursing Review Center), among others. You may also try these reviewer books: Saunders, Mosby, Lippincott, Kaplan, Davis 2010, LaCharity Prioritization, Delegation and Assignment, among others.
5. Once you have your elligibility, you are required to secure an ATT (Authorization To Test) and pay $200.00 You may secure one once the Board of Nursing of your choice emailed you the necessary information for applying for your ATT. Take note that ATT is only valid three months. So, you wouldn't want to secure one unless you are already decided to take the exam within the three (3) month period. NOTE: Elligibility also has its own expiry date, usually one (1) year from the date you are made elligible.
6. Once you have your ATT, you may want to schedule your exam. If you would like to take it here in Makati, Philippines, you need to pay another $150.00 as a testing center fee. You will be the one to schedule your exam, depending on the availability of dates. Pls also consider the 3 month period of your ATT.
7. Continue reviewing and answering NCLEX-RN practice questions until the scheduled day of your exam. And don't you forget to pray also. Ü
** You may also want the service of http://nclexapplicationcenter.com/news.php especially of course with additional charge/s
Hope this helps! Good luck on our exams! God bless! Ü
No need to pay the service of others as the forms etc can easily be completed by yourself. Also suggest checking out the international forum where may will have already gone through the process and be able to assist
