Filipino Nurse applying for APHRA

Published

Hello fellow nurses. I need some help with regards to application for APHRA. Anybody who knows where or how to start the application process? I've already read the application process in their website and I find it really hard to understand. It's quite complicated for me. Do I really need to send all the needed requirements by mail? The website said that the Assessment Fee is $220, Application Fee $160 and Registration Fee $160. Is the application fee costs that much? The registration period for the Nursing profession is 1 June to 31 May. And today is May 26. Do I have enough time to process my application? Thanks in advance for the suggestions and opinions.

Yes, it costs that much. The registration period you saw in the website is for licence renewal. You can apply for initial registration anytime, and it can take about 6-8 months. There's a huge thread about this, please read that first.

It seems that AHPRA is going even more stricter nowadays and I believe because of the influx of nurses too. When I applied for AHPRA they didn't have any registration period yet that I know of because I applied last year October 2012. It would be very helpful that you read the thread on Meeting AHPRA's requirements here on this link: (https://allnurses.com/nurse-registration/meeting-aphra-requirements-759253.html)

For the fee, yes you really have to pay them in order for your application to be processed. And when I applied I really have to send certified copies of my documents or requirements by mail. However the registration period you mentioned is new to me and I'm not sure if that is a new rule already with AHPRA.

Oh I went over past this message .. thanks iamnomad. Hope you were clarified by it too ekev12. :) Just gather all your documents, have them notarized correctly and submit them to any AHPRA state. Again, the link of the thread I gave you is really useful.
