If you're claiming 1 for federal and state, I got $1610.44. I'm no tax professional, but make sure you use the deduction calculator (head of household, etc) and that will give you a more accurate net. Usually before benefits, retirement, etc. expect 26-30% to come out in taxes, if you do your deductions correctly.
1700/wk. I don't even take that much home biweekly..
I don't live rich on it. My mortgage is 2k a month, I have tons of student loans that total 700$/month. And a car payment. And childcare....etc. Between utilities and rest of the bills we scrape by, but I do support my family.
Northern California pays well. If you are single and young def seize the opportunity to work here and pay off any debt you might have. Had I had that opportunity it's what I would have done. I'm just trying to work my way out of the debt mountain slowly.

Not sure to post here or traveling board. If you are getting paid $2600/gross ($65) per week how much can you expect to net, approximately? I did the paycheck calculator website for California but I'm not sure I'm checking the correct boxes for taxes and it came up at $1500 net. Which would be over half!! I know CA state tax is high, but geez!! I would claim single no kids. As basic as possible as far as taxes go. I own a home in another state.
