I just applied to get into the FGCU nursing program for fall 2011. I am so stressed out and worried about whether I will get in. I got an 83% on my TEAS with an overall score of 75% for the science portion but my GPA is only a 3.13. What scores have people gotten who have gotten into the program in past semesters and who applied to get in for the fall?
Hey everyone!Totally freaking out I got denied from FGCU for fall, denied at UNF for summer 2011 and Fall 2011, Denied at FSU which is my school!!! and applied to FGCU spring 2012 with a 3.2 GPA and I scored a 74 on the TEAS test... what are my chances? If I don't get in anywhere I'm going to do an accelerated program somewhere. I also applied to UF and still haven't heard back. What do you think my chances are about getting in for Spring semester at FGCU? :( AND HOW DID EVERYONE study for the TEAS test? I bought 2 books to study for it and have no idea how YOU ALL DID SOO WELl. I really thought I would get into FGCU I didn't think it would be that competitive. I can't believe this.
lonifgcu: I received my lab schedule in my eagle mail account this morning and so did all of my friends. Check your e-mail and if you haven't gotten it try calling Beta again. =)
abs08: by this time you already know whether or not you got in for spring. But if you didn't, here's what I did to study for the TEAS... I purchased the official ATI TEAS Version V study guide. I took the practice tests in the back and when you grade them it has descriptions that explain the correct answer and it also tells you where in the book to go back and study. Spend a lot of time studying the sections of the types of questions you are having trouble with. I got an 83 on the TEAS and got in for fall 2011. I hope that you got in for spring! Good Luck!
Hi guys! I am just wondering how the nursing program is for you so far? I have been accepted to FGCU for this fall but I have also been accepted to an Accelerated BSN program at JU. Any advice you can give would be great!
THANK YOU!
Same concern as abs08. I've made a few posts about this, but I got into an associates program too...there are a lot of reasons I want to attend that program, but there are lots of reasons to attend the bsn at FGCU as well. Don't know what to do here! I don't want to drive an hour to class each way or pay twice as much...but it would be nice to just have the bsn under the belt. Not sure which is the better program.

You have a great chance of getting in. I got in with a 3.5gpa and 84 TEAS.
