FGCU Nursing Fall 2013 Applicants!

Published

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but I just wanted to get a post going for all FGCU School of Nursing Applicants for the Fall 2013 semester.

At minimum, please post your current school, cumulative GPA, and program percentile rank from your TEAS exam.

Good luck to everyone!

by any chance, is it harder to get into spring than fall? i have a 3.43 and an 86 on the the teas and i won't find out till july and i'm pretty nervous.

From what I have read, it is harder because they accept fewer people. Best wishes to you!

i know that they accept 99 per year, but do you know how many might be accepted for spring or fall?

I heard 50 for fall, but I don't know that for a fact

thanks for answering my questions and being really helpful usfgirl. i really do appreciate it and maybe if i get accepted, i will see u guys around! :)

Absolutely! Once fall starts feel free to ask me any questions. Good luck!

one last question, is it true that when you get an acceptance, it is usually in a big envelope lol? i am just curious and paranoid.

I'm in for Fall :) I already have my CPR done. Just did the online deal for the background check. Are they able to do the 2-step TB on campus? I read something about that in the packet...

Ordered a couple texts online already, which is a huge relief after seeing the $900 estimate for books alone.

My acceptance letter was in a standard white envelope. Pretty thin too! Nothing too "special" :)

I am taking my CPR class next week :). How was the background check website? Is it as confusing as it sounds on paper (uploading our immunizations, etc.) or is it organized and easy to used? I think I read about the TB test being available on campus too, but you might want to give them a call. How did you know which books to order? :)

The background check website isn't too bad once you get all of your personal information entered. There's a section for everything you need to do and you just have to upload files to it. I just took my CPR class and have all of my immunizations except for one more TB test. And i have transfer orientation next week!

Good to know! Next up I will be taking care of my immunizations. I have orientation in a couple weeks. If you can, let me know how it goes! :)
