I know what you mean. I was a TERRIBLE student in high school. I mean AWFUL. I never even tried although I was always told I had potential. I got just good enough grades for cheerleading (which in my school were basically GIVEN to you if you were an athlete/cheerleader) So when I went back 8 years later, I had no idea how I would do. When I realized that school was my "thing" I was so excited (still am!). Getting good grades really boosts my confidence as a student. I know grades aren't everything but because I have never earned good grades, it feels awesome!!! It feels good to be a nerd. lol..
Originally posted by Erin RN studentI am not sure how they calculated it, It did go down this term from last ( it was a 4.09). that was 4 A+'s and 5A's. This term 3A's and 1 B+. had Pharmacology didn't do so well in that but I'm not complaining.
I had always thought that a 4.0 was as good as it gets till I started back.
You're in Canada right? A guy that was in my summer A&P class was from Canada. He told me that they calculate everything different there, it's goes more by percentage grade. He said he doesn't like how it's done here because you can't differentiate between someone who made a 90% or 100% because they both are the same A. For us the highest possible is a 4.0 GPA, which I'm proud to say, I currently have and I'm trying to keep.:)

Anyone else starting to feel kinda smart? Not obnoxious, but dumb either. I just finished my prerequisites yesterday and in four semesters (two summers, fall, and spring) I somehow received all A's except one B, and one C. It's kinda like, hey, maybe I AM kinda smart afterall.... I dunno if anyone else can relate.
