Feb 2017 GN Internships in Dallas

Has anyone applied for a Feb 2017 internship in Dallas and heard anything back? I know Baylor, Presby, UT Southwestern and others recently had their open application window.

Hello

I have received a NICU interview at Dallas Presbyterian for next week. I have not heard back from UTSW, Dallas Childrens, or Baylor - although Baylor has contacted me for a phone screen for their Waco location.

Hey yall,

I have also applied to THR Dallas, UTSW, Methodist, and Baylor. I applied for the critical care track at UTSW and recieved an email yesterday that they have just selected the candidates for interviews. The nurse manager told me that there were 106 applicants and 40 will be selected for interviews and there are ONLY 8 SPOTS. That made me really nervous lol. I havent really heard any information from the other facilities. What positions did ya'll apply for?

Congrats on the interviews! I had one interview at Baylor on the Mommy / Baby floor. Apparently they only have one spot to fill (2 total, but a tech is receiving one of the spots). I've applied at UT Southwestern, Baylor, Presby and Parkland (today). I've mainly been focusing on women's services (L&D is my first choice). I'm also interested in Critical Care and ED. I received two forms to fill out for Presby, but I haven't heard anything since I submitted those last week.

@ kld4024, did they say that they contacted everyone yesterday or are they still contacting applicants?

I'd be curious too. Online it says interview start next week (there's a schedule on their nurse residency webpage). I'm also assuming the 8 positions are just within critical care and not hospital wide...

For UTSW, the recruiter emailed me early this morning and said that they will be making phone calls for the next couple of days to schedule interviews..... It makes me so nervous. I'll definitely let you know if anyone contacts me but as of right now... no phone call yet!

I got an interview scheduled for parkland L&D residency. They called me on Thursday.

I'm at the interview stage with ED residencies at BS&W and THR (this week). I applied to JPS as well, and have continued in the process, though don't expect to interview until the end of October since their timeline appears to be a bit different.

I have a interview with Parkland ER this week. Pretty surprised I have not seen a thread on here about it!
