FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Published

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

hi everyone. i am a hopeful nursing student as well and found this site a few months ago. although i joined last month, i've never posted anything. but it's been extremely helpful to read everyone elses' experiences. (especially when we've been waiting to get our acceptance/denial letters.) i haven't received a letter yet and assume the same--that they are waiting to send out many letters after they find out if they have more slots open from people declining their seats. my points weren't as high as a lot of yours that have already been accepted. (congratulations, by the way! it must feel great not to have to worry anymore!) i'm really hoping that there are a lot of people that couldn't accept their slots!

i also applied to fccj's LPN programs as a back-up and got my acceptance packets weeks ago. on those letters, it stated when accepting your seat, to just leave a vm message if no one answers. if they had almost 400 people apply to the summer rn program, i could only imagine how much their phones are ringing! i would leave a vm message accepting your seat, or you might just be calling all day. lol

to the many of us that are still waiting, good luck and i hope we find out soon!

Hey guys (those who are still waiting) I know its heart wrenching not to know what is going on and if you will possibly get in if others turn it down. Just dont get discouraged and give up, especially if you dont get in this time....go ahead and get ready to apply again for Fall...Good luck to you all and I hope your waiting will end soon!

:grn:I'm a little uncomfortable just leaving a message... but if that's what they want then that's fine. But you all are my witness in that I called and accepted! So come orientation day- yall better have my back if they say I didn't. =):bdyhdclp:

I also called the number and had to leave a message. I hope they get it! :wink2:

I know it makes me uncomfortable to... but I think it will be okay because it seems like everyone has had to leave a message

:nurse: National Nurses Week is celebrated annually from May 6, also known as National Nurses Day, through May 12, the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing. :nurse:

Thought this was intersting to share because we start our first classes during that week!

Didn't make the cut. :crying2: I had 185.32 points. I was ranked 126th - and they filled all 96 slots. The cut off was at 190.24 points.

I'm going to retake the NAT and apply for Fall 2009. Good luck to those of you who made it...hopefully I'll see you in the Fall.

Sorry to hear you did not make the cut, ElsieFL, but you know you'll make it next time. thanks for posting the cut off scores, there is a couple of my friends that did not make it this time either, by just a few points , take care and again thanks :wink2:

I'm sorry ElsieFL. That's one of the higher cut-offs that I've seen. They accept more people for Fall so I hope you'll get through then.

ElsieFL...Sorry you didn't make it this time, I dont know how you did on the NAT but I have some friends who got in other semesters that stated the cut off was in the upper 170's so you should definately reapply for Fall..hope to see you then

The lotto is done the same for N/W. I remember at my orientation, they all had to stand up in the front and draw numbers and pick their sections that way. (they only get a choice of 2 sections). Once you are in N/W, the only way to get out is by failing a class. At my orientation, some of the N/W people did not show up so they lost their spot and people were allowed to switch over (even if someone else wanted to switch as well).

misswhitney, did you start at deerwood then continue at north campus for N/W?
