FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

No, I applied for the transfer program. I think we should be getting a letter sometime this week. I really haven't thought much about the traditional program. I'm not sure if I want to spend three years working on a BSN.

Yea three years is a long time. How do you know that they accept 15 students? I think they accepted 33 students either last year or the year before.

I was told it was 15 but I really can't remember if it was 15 total or 15 for each particular program.

I have a question for anyone that may know the answer. I have gotten conflicting information...does FCCJ accept students strickly due to the total points that you have or is there other criteria? In reading the packet I received from them I was under the impression that it is strickly the points. Another student that applied to a previous term told me her points were above the cut off and she still did not get in?

They also take into consideration which county you live in and that is in the packet as well. Also, I don't know this persons situation.....did they not receive the first packet or did they get turned away after? (postive drug test? criminal history?)

Hey thatdude, I heard from chris today. He said that they are in the process of finalizing their decisions and that letters will be mailed by Friday.

To my understanding she just did not get in therefore there was no drug test..etc. I did see the county preference as well, but I was just curious I think my points are high enough to be hopeful and I am in Duval Cty so I did not know if there would be anything else I needed to worry about... waiting is enough without any additional what ifs.

Does anybody know anything about Lake City Community College nursing program??? Any facts or suggestions?? I applied to it as a back up but don't really know much about the the school and the program....
