FCCJ Summer 2009, anyone?

Well, it's never too soon to start thinking about this. Anyone else thinking of applying for Summer 2009?

Saw on the news this morning that FCCJ is officially changing their name to Florida State College. Hopefully they have their new logo stuff in stock (envelopes, letterhead) so they can send out our packages!!! I wonder if that has been holding this up?

Welcome to the new.....Florida State College at Jacksonville thread for Summer 09! LOL

So.....I wonder how we are going to transition...is www.fccj.edu going to become www.fscj.edu? How about what does our new logo look like....

Now....as we wait for our letters of acceptance, I noticed one quiet but strange change on the website....

Normally when you click on MY COURSES OF STUDY, the AA was listed first followed by the AS/RN with a "N" in the "admit status" column. Well, today, the AS/RN is on top! (I wonder if that is a hint?! LOL) Of course, admit status still says "N".

We'll just hafta see!

I have been reading that Chris from JU notifies applicants by phone if they were accepted, I had an interview last month. If anyone hears any news from JU, please let me know. I am assuming that if there is no phone call than your probably getting a denial letter. Waiting for the news is exhausting. Meanwhile, I have an interview next Friday with UNF. I wish all of you the best of luck!

Hey there I also applied to JU and had the interview. I am thinking Chris should be contacting us very soon!!~ I am also waitting on news for FCCJ's program!~ I just hope to hear from one very soon before I got crazy:banghead:

I am hpoing we hear very soon also. I need to get my financial aid in order before summer classes start. I can't do anything until I find out which school, if any, I get accepted to. If I hear anything or get any mail, I'll be sure to post right away.

I called FCCJ this afternoon and asked if they'd mailed out the packages yet. Bad news, folks! According to the woman I spoke with, they have NOT finalized their decisions yet!!! They plan to mail the packages during the third week in March.

So we've got two more weeks of waiting....and waiting.....and waiting...........UGH

It seems though in reading posts from other semesters, that whenever anyone has called the nursing office, the response is quite similar- only to find out that letters arrive in the mail the next day. Everything in that department seems to be a big secret so I'm fairly certain that they are not going to tell you if they actually sent them out already! Thanks for calling the office but I am still going to be checking my mailbox daily until then!

I am right there with you jacks2009! I have to, I just cant stand not knowing. Hopefully we will be hearing something sooner than later.
