FCCJ Spring 2009

Published

Hey all!

I was just trying to get in touch with anyone hoping to start the RN program at FCCJ in the Spring 2009 semester. Hopefully we can see what the points seem to be at or where they were for the Fall 2008 semester.

Look forward to talking!:nuke:

awesome! glad to hear that, thanx for passing along the info :yeah:

This is absolutely driving me crazy! I just want to know. I have my family on high alert watching for the letter.:)

i know!!! and it hasn't even been three wks. since we turned our applications in... i keep checking the site everyday because i'm in washington state finishing up some work w/ my navy reserves unit and all of my mail is going to my mom's house in indiana so i won't have a clue if a letter comes unless i read it on here that someone got theirs or my mom switches things up and actually checks her mail more than once a week, lol. maybe we'll be lucky this wknd.... last year's spring section got theirs the 19th of october... what a gift that would be!

Sorry for the confusion, yes they do have a nights and weekend program, just not at the deerwood campus for spring term.

sorry cruxily, but i'm not trusting you on this one ... they've had night sessions at deerwood for at least the past two years and i've read on here that there was talk about getting a few day sessions out there too. right now i'm just going to hope for the best, and for me (and prolly for many others) that means nights at deerwood.

just wanted let every know, i called the nursing department today and she said they haven't even finished going through the applications yet. she said it would be the end of november before they mail anything out. but they probably tell that to everyone who calls

also for spring the nights and weekends class is at north campus, for summer its at deerwood

well thanx for the updates, smash, and my apologies, cruxily... this is so frustrating! i can't believe that the nights/wknd program isnt offered at deerwood... that was pretty much the only reason that i picked the program. i'm moving into a new apartment and i don't want to have to drive 30 + minutes one way each day, but i don't feel safe living anywhere near the northside. grhh!! i wish i would have known before. :banghead:

Good luck you guys!!

I am currently in E/W program. I remember the day I got my package... I was such a wreck from the time I turned my application in to the time I found out I was accepted!!! Be prepared to run around like you are on scavenger hunt once you get your package!!! You will feel like a puppet and the nursing program is your master!!!

1st term isn't too bad. I know everyone posts stuff like, get ready, 4 classes....blah blah blah. It really isn't as bad as everyone likes to say it is. It is possible... all you have to do is stay organized and stay on top of things!! FYI - the syllabus for each class is huge!!! I had a slight panic attack when I printed my first syllabus... over 70 pages long!! But don't panic... it is a lot of rules, regulations and objectives for the units. It is everything you will need for that class for the entire term.

Well good luck everyone!!! I know how you are feeling... hang in there and try to rest while you can!!!

tomorrow will be 3 weeks since the deadline has passed. the average seems to be around 4 weeks for a letter, so hopefully we should get them soon, i hate this waiting.

i was wondering which program everyone applied to: days or nights?

i applied to both. hey i found out today that only nassau and duval residents will be excepted
