Favorite ways to study for A&P and biology

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I'm just looking for study tips. I have a few I use but am looking for some more ideas as well :)

A's in all three anatomies - practice questions and practice exams worked the best for me; I also went to study groups organized by my university and conducted by senior students. I'll tell you what never worked for me - studying with other people, like a bunch of classmates getting together to study - I don't know if it's just the people I go to school with (or me lol), but it always ended up being a disorganized chaos, some people are better prepared than others and do not really benefit from it at all, and there's also a temptation of chatting and not focusing on studying )) If there was something that I couldn't understand, like acid-base balance and other challenging topics, I used Khan Academy on youtube. Good luck!

Anki, I made a deck for Physiology & Anatomy 100% perfect that covers each class completely (900 cards each). That's all I've done and I got A+ on everything at university so far. I'd send my decks to you, however, my class material probably differs from yours. So what I do recommend is ANKI. It'll change your life.

Anki - powerful, intelligent flashcards

Anki is great! I'm in my first semester of nursing school and I don't know what I would do without it. I don't even take notes anymore I just make anki cards. I passed the ATI Fundamentals Exam.

I like to study A&P chunk by chunk. I read a chapter, then stick to it until I am an "expert" on that system. Then, I move on to the next chapter. Eventually, you will become an expert on the entire textbook :yeah:
