FAU FNP class August 2018

Hi! I wanted to create a space for any applicants to FAUs FNP or AGNP program beginning in August 2018 to post updates :)

Anybody start their Castle Branch registration? If so... HOW?! Our Fall 2018 classification doesn't show up on the list, and some schools are... particular... About that kind of stuff. Touched base with Valentine Etienne regarding this, but no word yet.

Additionally, how many of us will be attending the Davie campus? And are you going to Orientation?

Can't hurt to get to know some of you guys ahead of time í ¾í´·í ¼í¿¾*♂️

I'm going to davie! I got accepted! Yes I will be there in August for orientation!

I am going to HBOI and we have an Orientation on August 17 as I'm sure each location does. However does anyone know if we also need to attend the graduate school orientation

I read that the graduate school orientation was recommended, but optional. I'm not going.

Neither are required. You attend of your own volition. 👍🏾

I finally got a response from the background coordinator, Cathleen Alcantara-Slocomb. They're still under the impression that the option is there, BUT, said to register for the class classification to Fall 2018.

There are two separate orientations. A general graduate student orientation, that is not mandatory. The second is a nursing orientation, which at least for Harbour Branch is mandatory. The bottom of my acceptance email said "Mandatory orientation will be held on Friday, August 17th (time: to be determined). You will receive specifics about orientation in a future email. Please watch your FAU e-mail."
