I haven't seen a thread directed at applicants for this application cycle, so I figured I'd start one! Just one month left until applications open. Who's ready? :) I figure we can meet here to discuss any questions or issues with applications, provide support and feedback to fellow applicants, as well as introduce ourselves as potential future classmates! Communication is, after all, critical for all nurses.

I actually have a question to start us off. The pre-requisites listed for the program mention "College Algebra or equivalent" for science GPA calculations. In my case, I took a few more advanced mathematics courses for my degree, and I have a better grade in Calculus than I do in College Algebra. I can only chalk it up to it being my first semester in college. Does anyone know if they will count my Calc grade instead? It means the difference between a 3.8 and 3.9 for my science GPA.

The words on the streets are that they are being sent out in batches like the interview emails. . . So let's keep our fingers crossed! ! !

Makes sense. I imagine once they get a count for the first set of acceptances, they can send out more based on the number of declines. They may then send out wait list emails.

I also received a response. I sent my acceptance just before noon yesterday and the response came with in an hour later.

Yes, btigg she said it's up to the admission committee when they get sent and everyone should get an email!! Fingers crossed we hear something either way soon !

Thanks any12. At least they will send rejection emails....just being left hanging and being forced to call for a rejection would be awful.

That worries me. I sent mine right after I received my letter and still haven't heard back. I spoke with someone at the college and they said that Mrs. Curran was out of the office today. I sent another email today to follow-up. I really don't want to lose my spot.

A lady in the office had told me. . . But at this time I'm sure it's safe to assume if we didn't get an acceptance email. . .we are now only waiting for them to batch out denial letters. . I couldn't imagine acceptance emails being batched out this late in the process. .

I wouldn't be so sure. The deadline for the first batch is today at 4pm. They'll probably be sending out some more after that. Keep your chins up!

Of course, all this HAS to happen on a Friday. So if we don't hear by this evening, we have to wait til Monday to hear or call. Sigh.
