I haven't seen a thread directed at applicants for this application cycle, so I figured I'd start one! Just one month left until applications open. Who's ready? :) I figure we can meet here to discuss any questions or issues with applications, provide support and feedback to fellow applicants, as well as introduce ourselves as potential future classmates! Communication is, after all, critical for all nurses.
I actually have a question to start us off. The pre-requisites listed for the program mention "College Algebra or equivalent" for science GPA calculations. In my case, I took a few more advanced mathematics courses for my degree, and I have a better grade in Calculus than I do in College Algebra. I can only chalk it up to it being my first semester in college. Does anyone know if they will count my Calc grade instead? It means the difference between a 3.8 and 3.9 for my science GPA.
I just got an email from college of nursing thanking me for my interest in the program ! It states that in order to be accepted into the program you must apply to the college! I font understand this did anyone else just get this?[/quote']Hi Any... you must apply to FAU in addition to applying for the nursing program. It's an additional application (and fee). I am not sure if you are able to do so at this point. If it were me, I would definitely reach out to the college of nursing team tomorrow to see what your options are before taking any action (unless of course the email says otherwise).

I feel less nervous as I know my chances are minimum after reading your posts, and we need to be realistic. I do not understand the worries of people who are with one and a half foot in. You deserve it guys, as you have done exceptionally well. I hope that the admission criteria will change toward a more "qualitative" admission process. Anyways, I wish you luck and you are really beautiful people I would have liked to have you around during my career change ambitions.
