Fastest state to apply for NCLEX

Hi guys I need your help. Before, i planned to submit my application to California (I even asked you if you have extra Fingerprinting card) for my NCLEX but after viewing some of the posts here, I would say that it changed my mind.

Do you have any idea which states has the fastest application process (receiving eligibility and ATT) and the fastest to release the result? Pls, give me at least 5 states which have at least 2-4 months application process.

I still really want to work in cali bcoz most of my friends and relatives live there. May i just know how long does endorsement (from the state where I have my license to cali) take?

Used to be Vermont that was fastest. Think it might still be but heard that the person who does all the work is off sick, not sure if she's back. You could phone and ask them their current processing times.

CA takes one day to endorse, if you go to their office in Sacramento.

First, you do not apply for NCLEX, that is only an exam. You must apply for licensure to state Board of Nursing. The NCLEX is the final step in the licensing process, and it is not the only step.

Saipan does not have a website even, so it is not the fastest.

if you are filipino nurses, try applying in one of the compact states. my wife applied in ohio and it's a bit fast as long as you submit all the requirements all at once (my wife submited hs diploma, diploma from her nursing school, transcript, license verification, and applied for ces from cgfns. in my case, i'm a permanent resident and when i applied it took the ca bon 6 mos to process my application. i'm assuming that the filipino nurses asking about this are not permanent residents ot citizens? most of my friends there applied in one of the compact states and they said it's faster and easier, so i guess it's worth a try?

My wife applied in OHIO and it's a bit fast as long as you submit all the requirements all at once (my wife submited HS diploma, Diploma from her nursing school, Transcript, License Verification, and applied for CES from CGFNS. In my case, I'm a permanent resident and when I applied it took the CA BON 6 mos to process my application and to get my ATT kahit na pina fed ex ko pa yung mga requirements. Mahirap mag apply directly sa sacramento and alam ko hindi pwede pag wala kang green card o hindi ka citizen. The issue is no that it is a compact state, actually of no use to a foreign nurse. Especially one that does not have an address in that state, the compact part does not exist for them.. What you want is a state that issues a hard license so that it can be endorsed.. Not that many will do it for a nurse that doesn ot have a SSN#.

According to you, I should not consider applying in CA because it will me take a very long time. So, instead of me deciding for myself, I will let you decide for me. What state should I apply for my NCLEX? Please give me the state which has the fastest processing time and fastest to release the result, does not require SSN# and not a CGFNS state.

BTW, can we pass our NCLEX application anytime we want because according to you, CA (I do not know if it also applies to the other states) does not issue ATT as of now to applicants who passed their application after the June 2006 NLE. Why is that so?

you will not get a ssn# until you are in the us and ready to work, with a visa that permits same. it is the final step of the immigration process, meaning that you need to here and ready to work before you will receive it. no other way.

i do not know of any state that is currently granting the att for anyone that has taken that exam. no one knows for sure what ca will do, it takes about six months to get approval if there are no issues. and this is a big one.

and you do not submit an application for nclex, you are applying for licensure, nclex is just one step in the process.

What are you saying? Submiting an application and application for licensure is just the same. I can not see any difference between the two. :rolleyes:

Ok so the states in the U.S. do not issue ATT as of now. But can we still pass our application for licensure to the bon of the state that we chose? How are we going to know if they are already issuing the ATT?
