I was wondering what the quickest way to either get LPN to RN or LPN to BSN was. In What city? or What program out there will get you it the fast.

Is the tuition expensive @ ISU, do they accept financial aid & are there any other pre-req's?
Thanks for addressing my concerns.

Do you feel ISU is a better route than something like Excelsior? I am an LPN looking at getting my RN. I am so confused about all the info out there. I don't know if I should do RN or BSN...any thoughts? How do the clinicals work with ISU? If I understand Excelsior right, there are no clinicals except for the CPNE exam. It's pass or fail. One could go through the entire program and fail the CPNE and be out.

This was my vary question... but I don't think I want to do an online program. I am willing to relocate anybody know of any accelerated lpn-bsn programs or any really that are at or less than 2 years. I have most of the prerequisites from a previous degree, but was hoping to find something less competitive and crazy demanding than a second degree bsn. any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you don't hold a BA already in another field then going from LVN-BSN will most likely take more than 2 years. Did you try WGU BSN program. They require a minimum of a CNA in order to apply. It's partly online and your clinicals are done in several hospitals in different areas of Texas and in the LA area in California.
No, I hadn't looked at that program. Though I wrote that question in first person it was actually for my husband. Accelerated bsn programs seem too intense and he'd like to be able to work a little bit while in school, you know? But on the other hand he doesn't wanna spend forever finishing the degree. Thanks for the advise.

Heathert kc- The University of Oklahoma has an LPN-BSN that is only 9months.
How can a LVN-RN be only 8 months and a LPN-BSN only 9 months? That doesn't make any sense. Is it accelerated and you go to school 6 days a week with clinicals? Is that online and all your general educations and prerequisites finished?
Please check for your self... Of course all prerequiste must be completed and must complete the four nursing challenge exams. I don't know much about this program. I am reading the Nursing School Website.
4 challenge exams, sounds similar to Indiana State University. I will check on it. thank you
The study guides for the four nursing challenge exams are on the website also. The fees are not too bad also. Too bad california is not up to date as other states....
wow, now that I look into it this sounds like the perfect program for him. He already has a degree so the gen eds are waived and he has most of the prereqs, plus the tuition is relatively cheap, we've been looking at accelerated BSN programs which are ungodly expensive. Thanks so much, i am so appreciative. I have never really heard of a program like this, I wonder if any others exist?
