Published

I was wondering what the quickest way to either get LPN to RN or LPN to BSN was. In What city? or What program out there will get you it the fast.

I'll move this thread to the LPN-to-RN student forums where, hopefully, other members will be able to provide some feedback and answer your question. Good luck to you!

Depends on how heavy a courseload you are willing to take on. I'm doing ISU and you can test out of your pre-reqs and 4 of your nursing course so it can be done pretty fast.

what is an ISU program? I am an LPN for a year now and am considering dental hygenist as a way to make more $$ and have a life too. I am sick of waiting lists!!!!!!!!!!:angryfire

http://www.indstate.edu/nurs/lpn-bs.html It's an online program in which you do the classroom part online and the clinicals locally with a preceptor.

ISU = Indiana State University

ISU offers an online LPN-to-RN program.

I have been interested in learning more about ISU. How do the clinicals work and how long do they last? Thanks for any help.

Specializes in NICU, L&D and ED.

ISU clinicals are done locally and over the program you do 495 hours and it ranges from 45-135hours per semester. The area you do your clinicals in goes along with the classes you are taking that semester. If you have anymore questions about you can ask me I am just starting phase II and am working on finding a clinical site.

I started phase 2/3 (doing both at the same time) in January. What are you taking? I'm taking Transition LPN to BSN, Research for Nursing, Nursing in Mental Illness and Health Assessment. Glad to have an ISU classmate here to help answer questions. :yeah:

How do you like the ISU program? Is that the online program w/ clinicals assigned in your area? About how long is it going to take you to complete the program, and what courses had you completed before starting it? Thanks for the info!
