  1. I grad from GRCC June of 06 LPN program-the thought of going back to that school chokes me! I know they are good but the program was just ROUGH! I just met last Tues with a rep from Excelsior. I opted not to go this route b/c I think I need more clinical experience...it also costs 10 thousand-ugh! So now I either go back to GRCC with 3 pre reqs to go or drive to KVCC, MCC etc. Any ideas anyone??
  2. what is an ISU program? I am an LPN for a year now and am considering dental hygenist as a way to make more $$ and have a life too. I am sick of waiting lists!!!!!!!!!!:angryfire
  3. I work as an office nurse with LPN's and RN's. I love it but I feel guilty I dont use my skills! I just schedule procedures and give pt's instructions. But the pay is good and the people rock...and who cant love no nights weekends or holidays???
  4. This is the exact reason I chose to work in an office. I love nursing, but I love the holidays with family. I know everyone cannot do that and I am glad they dont or who would treat the sick on holidays? Im just saying it works well for me...
  5. I tell them "Im not a doctor but I play one on TV":roll
  6. Thanks to all for responding. I have talked with my husband and I will finish out this class, professor and all. And then I am going to take some time off. I have been working at this since 9/11 time and frankly, I am burned out. I wont, however, give up on my RN dream but I am going to work on just relaxing and being and living LIFE! I miss it! Thanks again, you all really encouraged me.
  7. I always liked "Killing me softly".
  8. Today I feel like quitting school. I have been working on gen ed courses (psych, soci, bio, chem etc) and LPN classes since 2001. I graduated this summer with my LPN and have a microbiology and after the A and P class I am in now, one more A and P to go. I didnt really get a break cause I studied for boards all July and August and took them the first week of Sept. The same week I started school. I am having a hard time being motivated to study and feel overwhelmed.:studyowl: I went to the help center at school and their "tutoring" involved viewing a CD (s). This biology teacher we have humiliated me in class the other day by saying I was asking too many questions and I should just buy a tape recorder. I was SO embarrassed but I will buy a recorder. I asked 3 questions in 1.5 hrs. So...I wonder if it is worth it to be an RN. I love my office nurse job and could stay there forever. But I also always wanted the RN. ...I wish I could be book free and enjoy life. Should I take a year off? What to do...
  9. LPN student here graduating JUNE 28th, feels like a dream, hope it doesnt turn into a nightmare cause Im 37!! Im going on this fall for my RN...bring it on baby!
