Farmingdale State College Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi guys, I am currently a student at Farmingdale under the STS major. I plan on applying for the Advanced Standing Nursing Program in Spring 2021. I have not seen a thread for Spring 2021 so thought I would make one. Everyone can write their stats, TEAS scores, GPA, questions, and any concerns about the program on here. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

This is crazy LOL. Regardless you should still give their name to Farmingdale in case they try to apply. It’s just not fair.

Yeah ikr. I talked to the admissions people a few days ago. They said they control when the decisions go out and they will only start sending them out on the week of the 14th. So we aren’t gonna get a decision until next Monday. Only a few more days guys! I wish everyone luck!

What I don't understand is if it goes strictly by grades and TEAS scores it should be a much faster process . Unless  they take letters of recommendations and essays into account which would be really messed up because they told me it was strictly grades.

They told me essay and recommendations not required/needed but recommended so I think they might be taken into account. Seems like they told ppl dif. things and I agree its confusing / misleading.

Really even the brochure says nothing is needed except the TEAS score and GPA. They said they got 400 applicants and it was narrowed down to 150. So they are choosing the top 50 from them and maybe they are looking at individual grades as well for specific class like BIO. They also only meet on the weekends I heard so that’s why it’s talking them this long probability.

Scroll to bottom. Says decision letter. It's dated today.

It doesn't say that for me. It just says thank you applying and there's a checklist.

OK. Maybe it's alphabetical. I start with c. Then all the way at end it says "status update"
