Farmingdale State College Spring 2022 Nursing Program

Hi guys, I am currently a student at Farmingdale under the STS major. I plan on applying for the Advanced Standing Nursing Program in Spring 2021. I have not seen a thread for Spring 2021 so thought I would make one. Everyone can write their stats, TEAS scores, GPA, questions, and any concerns about the program on here. Hopefully this helps everyone out!

That’s why I want to call and ask but nobody is picking up. 

I just called admissions and they gave me vague response and said middle of November. I am so confused because everyone is giving different dates. Did anyone have any luck with emailing the nursing Info department, I recommended emailing Ryan Neary he’s the head and most likely to respond faster. I would email him but I emailed too many times and I feel like hes annoyed with me LOL.

I emailed the nursing department like a feen and they said they are busy reviewing almost 400 applications. They are doing their best to get decisions out by the first week of November.

in the seminar they said they received 400 applicants but they narrowed it down to 150 applicants. So I guess they are only reviewing the last few in that 150. It seems that we will definitely have decisions before November 15th, probably by November 1st. They committee will most likely meet again this weekend and finalize everything and give our decisions by November 1st. That makes more sense taking into account what I learned from the seminar.

Sounds about right. I'm sure they are just over the emails and are like listen here lady, we got 400 applications, chill out LOL. I think next week we will know.

The 150 number makes sense. When I was on the info call they said only about 150 make it through the entire process. I'm guessing there are a lot of people who don't get all their stuff in on time, or are automatically disqualified for some other reason.

Hey guys,

I called admissions today and they said we won’t know until second week of November. I was hoping that we would know by today. I want to know their decision so I can move forward with the other school that accepted me.

So nuts how everyone gets different answers from admissions. I mean I moved forward with the other school I was accepted to. Didn't want to risk not having a seat somewhere.

Yes paid my deposit and did the background. Orientation on 12/1
