I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE INTERESTING TO HEAR OF THE DIFFERENT BENEFITS THAT SOME FACILITIES OFFER THEIR NURSING STAFF!(STUFF LIKE FREE CHILDCARE, HOUSKEEPING, FITNESS CLUB MEMBERSHIPS, ECT....)THESE ARE SOME OF THE THINGS THAT FACILITIES IN MY AREA OFFER.ANYONE ELSE?:D

MY MOM LIVES IN SACRAMENTO, THATS WHERE IM FROM ORIGINALLY.I AM THINKING ABOUT RELOCATING BACK HOME TO BE CLOSE TO MY MOM, I HAVEN'T SEEN HER SINCE I WAS 12 (THAT WOULD BE 12 YEARS AGO) AND I THINK IT IS TIME TO DO SOME HEALING. WHAT IS THE ANNUAL SALARY AT YOUR FACILITY FOR A NEW GRAD?

If you don't mind, I'd rather not mention my hospital here, see your pm's.

Starting wage for new grads starting in April of this year will be $31.92 with a 16% night shift differential and 5% weekend diff. After six months a new grad makes $32.89 plus the diffs, six more months and it's $34.16, that is if you progress as they expect (and I personally don't know anyone who hasn't). After that you have yearly evaluations and at anytime in between you can ask for an eval and get a wage/staff level increase if you feel you have acheived that status and the evaluator agrees.

we get the privledge of serving our patients according to the "ministry' of the hospital...

we have had no layoffs..that is a plus..

we are building a 8 story cardiac care tower...so therefore, we get to share in the absence of a " cost of living" raise this year...because we have the honor of serving the patients of this area.

what a joke...

$14.oo certificate for the grocery store for christmas. 401k matching program and some other stuff but ya really work your butt off for it.

I get to choose the benefit package that works for me. I get to choose what shifts, hours, days, holidays I will and will not work. I choose what I wish to wear to work.

What great job is this? . . . I'm an independent RN

I get to choose what I want, but I travel too which is fine but would enjoy sitting in one spot for awhile.I miss the closeness of a tight crew.
