Hello Everyone! Happy New Yearrrr
Oh! I didn't mean to be derogatory or anything by GPA. I know that's not the only thing they consider, I've researched this ever since I graduated high school and know that the essay/interview combined generally have a stronger pull than your GPA. Basically I think anyone who completes that application process proves that they want this bad lol, it took me months to complete it.
But yeah, hopefully we'll get a call for an interview. I'm so nervous and really just want to know now. Haha. But them taking so long to make decisions proves they consider EVERYTHING when selecting people for seats, so I guess it's a good thing.
From what I remember, they emailed me and let me know they received my packet. I submitted my packet in early October. I want to say that took about 15 days. Then they called me in late November for my interview. I received my YES December 19th & had to be at school with my nursing deposit on January 2nd! As far as living goes, go apartment searching after your interview. Let them know your situation & see if they will make accommodations. Get all the paperwork you will need (lease/guarantor stuff) so that when you get your YES you can actually fax it right in. Also, be sure to handle all of your financial issues NOW. You won't have time later. As far as choosing an apartment..I'm a 2nd degree student so I'm a lot older than most of my classmates. I wanted to live off campus and away from the parties. I chose The Commons off of West Tharpe and I am satisfied. Some of my classmates stay in Seminole Grand, The Heights, Vila Delago, Forest Ridge, & Park at mid town. Nobody really stayed too close because it's a bit "ratchet".
