Unfortunately no. Most actually quit their job when the program started because it is so intense and demanding. Just from what I know of the program, you'll most likely have to reapply and go through the process again. You could call Ms Tellis and ask though! Good luck and I hope it all works out for you! Definitely not heels though because you'll be walking around and standing a lot. And bring a pair of socks just in case they run out when you're trying on your clinical shoes :) that happened to me lol

There was a good mix of casual and business casual with our group. I personally went with business casual

Congrats to everyone who got called! Enjoy what break you have left because it gets real, real fast! And no worries if you haven't been called yet! It took 2 days for them to call everyone for us. Also, even if you get rejected you may still get accepted. In our class one girl said she had gotten a rejection email but someone didn't show up to the mandatory orientation so she got in that way. If it's meant to be, it will be :) God always has a plan! Congrats again!! Feel free to ask me any questions I'll be glad to help if I can!

Hey you guys! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear answers!! And as for when they call, it just depends. I thought since they called earlier in another thread that meant they'd call earlier for us (fall 2014 admits) but they didn't actually start calling us until waay later. I think the earliest call time I've heard was about 3:30 but I'm not sure. I didn't get called until about 4:40. So if you don't hear anything this afternoon don't get discouraged! :)

You start clinicals off site your first semester but it's not that many, two at a local nursing home and one at basically a doctor's office and that probably won't be until October lol. You start your clinicals at the hospital in your second semester around February! And when you get accepted you'll have to pay for things such as background checks, a drug test, etc. And then also your uniforms (you'll get 3 scrubs, two name tags, two professional polos, a scrub jacket, a cardigan, stethoscope, blood pressure cuff, a pen light, and shoes to wear to clinical) and I think that covers it lol

I'm pretty sure people got called over a period of two days but it depends on the size of your application pool. We had around 85 people I believe called for interviews so it took a couple of days. I've heard they send an email when they finish making calls so if you haven't got that yet then you're probably good!! Don't get discouraged :)

Hey ya'll! I'm a 3rd semester nursing student at FAMU (I was admitted fall 2014) and I wanted to back up my classmate and tell ya'll there is no way you'll spend $3,000 the first semester. I got the majority of my books new and I don't even remember spending that much. Lol. But congrats to those who received calls! And those still waiting, be patient and pray pray pray! Anything meant to happen will be. I remember how nerve-wrecking this process is but trust in what you've done this far and believe you'll make it! There's a reason for everything and you will all make amazing nurses, believe it! :) If you have any questions feel free to ask and good luck!

They sent out acceptance emails with information this afternoon at like 1, but don't get discouraged, that doesn't necessarily mean you're rejected :)

I'm sure they're still probably making calls you guys because they haven't sent the email with info about orientation and background checks and stuff yet (which means they're probably still calling people to send it to). Stay positive if you're still waiting!
