Family Nursing January

Starting this family nursing course in January and from what I hear this is going to be a hard course. I am looking for the support of my fellow class mates, or any hints from those who have previously taken the class. Thank You.

Did anyone else get an announcement about this week's paper? I'm in section 049 here's what I got:

The directions say you need to identify 1 family goal & 1 nursing intervention,

in addition to answering the other questions listed.

This is unclear in the rubric. You only need 1 each.

I'm not in your section, but I got the exactly same announcement. I emailed the TA and clarified it. You need 1 intervention for 1 related goal, but you need to write at least 3 of them as stated in the rubric.

I did end up getting that announcement. So one intervention and goal it is. I'll be doing my case study final paper tomorrow and then I'm D-O-N-E with this class. I wish everyone all the best on their final paper and in their future classes at OU.

I found this post just in time. Wk 5 case study #3 states identify one state or national policy r/t health, economics or social issue. Do they want a law or an organization? I'm confused on this one

So I have read and re-read the instructions multiple times trying to figure out exactly what is expected on this final case study paper. Maybe I am reading too much into it and trying to make it harder than it is. This is what I have gathered thus far: we need 3 family goals with 3 interventions that list resources for each intervention? Is it as simple as compiling the other 3 case study assignments into one big paper (seems too easy)? And lastly, the last question has me all confused as to what they want?? Thanks for any feedback :)

I already had most of my paper written when this announcement came out and I did three problems/interventions/goals. I had a really hard time coming up with 4 pages - even threw in some BS. I emailed the TA to see if that was okay.

I'm in 049 and have the Goldsmiths too! I'm in the middle of this paper but I'm having a hard time stretching it to 4 pages. Ugh! Hoping to wrap it up today or early tomorrow, will have to work the rest of the week/weekend.

TA said if I did three, that was okay. It may have been easier to do three because then you don't have to elaborate on just one. ??? I'm in section 054. I can finally discharge the Goldsmith family!! Ha, ha.

Are any of you doing a NANDA family nursing diagnosis? That was not clear on the directions. I don't like any of the NANDA diagnoses;-)
