Fall 2011 Western University of Health Sciences MSN-E

Published

Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

Current students--What were your stats like?

Any information would be helpful =)

Thanks in advance!

No, Western costs about 95-100K for the whole program depending on which Master's route you wanna take. SMU costs more per unit ($1067/unit), whereas Western costs $910/unit for first year, then it dips down to $700 something per unit.

yes, yor right tweetychick510 , i calcualted it and smu costs about 20-30,ooo more or so. Althoght smu is only 3 yrs, it still costs more.

Yea, but aren't you almost guaranteed a position at one of their partner hospitals? I met with some people out there and they said that they look for people with with degrees, especially masters degree from SMU.

yes, but i will most likely work down here, and im referring to school costs only, not finding a job afterwords.

I'm kinda concerned with both,I guess I should just focus on getting into Western and then I can worry about the other stuff.

Hey all, I was an alternate and received an acceptance email on 04/15! *Woot*

congrats nyoon!!

congrats nyoon. are you planning to commute?

Nyoon, are you planning on depositing? Congrats on getting off the alternate list!!!!!!!!! :D

:redbeathe Thanks! :redbeathe

@smilinsweetie: I've deposited and am still deciding whether getting an apartment or something out there would be better than commuting. I currently live in North OC, but I'm I'm thinking it may be a good idea to live closer to campus where all the action is at for at least the first year. What about you? Have you looked into getting a place nearby campus?

Nyoon, are you planning on depositing? Congrats on getting off the alternate list!!!!!!!!! :D

Hi ilnurse, I mailed in my deposit on Monday. And thank you, I know that there are so many qualified applicants and more accepts are sure to come. Best of luck to everyone!

Nyoon: I am also going to live near campus. I was hoping to find another classmate from the same cohort to live with. I have a habit of settling everything very early so I ended up securing a place a mile away from campus with other Western students. Banweb is actually very helpful and you should look into it. However, they really take a long time just to send you the information for banweb.
