Fall 2011 Western University of Health Sciences MSN-E

Published

Anyone applying to WesternU's MSN-E program? If so, do you know when they will start the interview process? What they look for in their applicants (gpa, extracurricular, etc)?

Current students--What were your stats like?

Any information would be helpful =)

Thanks in advance!

Sahar5: are you an alternate also?

ilnurse: I'm sorry, it is really hard just waiting for a decision. Since they will take as much alternates as space opens, you still have from now until the first day of class. Don't give up hope! Good luck to you.

Thanks, for your support, i'm trying to be patient, it's tough! :o)

Ilnurse: do you have a plan B? worse case scenario...what are you planning to do?

Yes I have 2 actually. I can reapply to Rush for the Winter, which I think i'll outright be accepted this time, I've made a lot of adjustments.

Second I have SMU.

Western is my First choice!

IlNurse: I'm really glad atleast you'll have something to fall back on if things don't work out for you. Most importantly is that we achieve our dreams of becoming compassionate advocates for our patients. If life takes you down a different road to that destination then so be it right? :nurse:

You're right, I just hope it takes me to Pomona!

im starting to really hope for you too! double power! ;)

Ilnurse!!!! I hope you get in. You've been so supportive of all of us. Someone asked if I'm commuting and the answer is yes. I live in Yorba Linda. It only takes me about 30 minutes. If any of you need any information about the area feel free to get hold of me. There's some sketchy areas of Pomona.

Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Walnut are all good communities and are all very close. I would assume the housing right at the university is good as well.

smilinsweetie: hello. yes i am an alternate as well. :) If i dont get in then I will continue on with SMU's FNP program that starts this fall. But due to closeness and cost, western is my first choice

Sahar, I thought that the SMU program was shorter and when I added up the cost it was around $110K, which is cheaper than Western.
