Fall 2014 Valencia

U.S.A. Florida

I just got my acceptance email on Monday! I am so excited. When I applied the website said they were accepting applications for Spring 2015 so this was a pleasant surprise. I'm planning my wedding for before the semester begins, does anyone know how long before they usually hold orientation? I wouldn't want it to be on the same day.

Thanks for letting me know. I'm so impatient!. Lol.. Well I guess I will keep myself busy by finishing up my A.A. I so hope I get in earlier. I have two friends that are in the program now and started two semesters early!. So we shall see. Thanks again!. And good luck to you as well:D

I have been hearing the same thing! Girls starting two semesters early!! That would be amazing! I would leap at that opportunity! Have you heard anything about your app yet?

Be sure to check your emails towards the end, if not the very end of each semester. I was originally accepted to start in Aug 2013, and received an email at the end of the semester in Dec 2012 but didn't reply in time, and then received another email at the end of Spring 2013, and ended up starting the program in May 2013.

So you definitely have an opportunity to start at least 2 semesters early.

This is awesome! I applied for spring 2015 but was accepted for fall 2014. Hopefully they will email me to start earlier!! :)

Yea I am super excited of the possibility of starting early. But no, I havent heard anything about my application. I check constantly everyday. I wish they would hurry up already! lol. But its fine. Does anyone know how fare in advance the orientations are? like if we do start in fall 2014 or summer 2014 when orientations are held? I am trying to schedule a last vacation before the program and do not want to miss it!

I can tell you for me I was accepted to start May 2014, I received an email in June asking me if I wanted to start early for Fall 2013. Orientation for me was July 19th, so about 4-5 weeks before school starts.

I applied when it said 6-8 weeks for them to get back to us and it took about 12 weeks I think. I emailed them at 9 weeks to make sure they got everything and they said they were really behind because of so many applications. You'll hear from them...you just have to be patient which I know is hard. :) Froggie14, how was orientation?

Oh really?!. So it was a shorter period of time?. Oh man...lol. Well its been 4 weeks already so I can wait another 6-8... Didn't think about them being behind and stuff. So makes sense. Thanks for the clarification.

@froggie14

I would also like to know how was your orientation, and what was talked about?.

Time is going by so fast that I will be in the program before I know it.yay!

Hi all! Has anyone who has recently been accepted received anything after you accepted the offer to the program? I have not received anything. I went over to the West Campus and it is nearly impossible to talk to the nursing advisor. I don't get it. It is very frustrating. I at least want confirmation that they received my acceptance reply to the nursing program. Anyways how is everybody doing while they wait? I am a student at UCF, currently taking classes for a minor, volunteering once a week, and studying to retake the teas! I am hoping to apply to the concurrent programs. Have a blessed day!

Hi! I know you started the program already right? How is it? Are they organized? By the looks of how they run their "nursing advising" I am a little worried. It is so hard for me to get in contact with a nursing advisor at Valencia. Hope you're loving the program along with all the work that comes with it!

I was also hoping that they would send a reply saying they got our acceptance but they haven't. I've been disappointed in the organization and the communication I've experienced hasn't been great either. I'm hoping the program is better than what I've gotten from them so far. I've enjoyed going to Valencia otherwise so I'm going to be optimistic. I'm taking stats right now and then I'm going to take chemistry next semester so my pre-reqs are good for when I want to go for my BSN. Otherwise I feel like I have a lot on my plate (I have a 6 month old and I work and go to school and I'm planning a wedding lol) so I think that's good practice for once the program starts. I'm so excited that it's less than a year away now! :)

That's awesome! Sounds like you have it all under control! I hope the program is better, because like you I also had a good experience at Valencia before I went on to UCF. I am working on a minor now and studying like crazy to improve my TEAS score to get into UCF nursing. My grades and GPA are good, and this is the last hurdle before nursing school. I am determined to make it. Good luck with your classes! =)
