  1. I saw a lot of you all on Friday at orientation, you seemed excited and looked great!! It is a lot of information to take in all at once. Just keep going over the information they give you and make sure you don't miss any deadlines. Another thing I can't stress enough is stay up or freshen up on your dimensional analysis (dosage)! That is a make or break deal in Nursing. Just FYI that, for the most part, is a self-directed learning skill, so learn it, master it and LOVE it!! Nursing I is a lot of work, but you get out of it what you put into it. It's worth the time and effort... See you in January!
  2. This semester it was 9-1230 MW & 9-4 TR w/ 1 hour lunch 12-1.. Pretty sure that will be the same for you guys. We didn't have anything scheduled for Friday's or Saturdays.
  3. Unless they change something... Monday & Wednesday are Lecture days, Tuesday & Thursdays are all day Lab days. No classes are scheduled on Fridays.
  4. Congratulations to you guys, I know how excited you are to start the program. I am just finishing up the 1st semester. It's an awesome experience. Just a little advice, know your medical terminology, brush up on your dimentional analysis, have a positive attitude and give yourself A LOT of time for studying, there is A LOT of reading. Stay on top of your studies, there is really no time to play catch up. They have resources available to you, use them. They have a great program and it is fun. I am excited for you guys, see you at orientation.
  5. I can tell you for me I was accepted to start May 2014, I received an email in June asking me if I wanted to start early for Fall 2013. Orientation for me was July 19th, so about 4-5 weeks before school starts.
  6. Good Job!! I did alot of my stuff last week when I was off from work. When I did my drug test I didn't give them enough and had to sit around for an hour to try again. Lol. At least I wasn't the only one, there were 3 other people doing the same thing, drinking water and waiting. I only have to take my immunization list to my primary DR for them to fill out my physicial/immunization form. I just did my CPR class yesterday. Now I have to fight with the Financial Aid Department, they say I don't qualify for FA because of the number of classes I have taken (I have my AA and it's going against me as if I've taken too many classes towards my current AS degree, because of a change in major) so I am appealing. Anyway, I'll do loans if I have to, I'm in this program and I'm not letting it go!!
  7. Thank you for all your insight. Every little bit helps. I am so excited to get this chapter of my life started. Orientation in 2 weeks and let the chaos begin. Thanks again and best of luck to you!
  8. You should have heard something before now. Have you checked your atlas email acct. that's where my letter came. I got accepted in June 2012 to start May 2014. But there were seats available and I was moved up 2 semesters and will start in fall 2013. But you should check into your application with the department.
  9. Hoping it's been a good journey for you!!
  10. Just as an FYI for those looking for information. I was accepted in June 2012 to start in May 2014. However I was asked if I was interested in an open seat for the Fall 2013 and I replied. So my total wait time was 1 year. So with the availability of open seats, you very well might start before the initial stated date. Good Luck
  11. Let the madness begin!!
  12. Check your e-mail... I just heard about my seat!!!
