Hey guys 💜 just wanted to open a thread for Fall 2018 applicants at Tarrant County College ADN program! I know application cycle isn't open for about another month but I saw a few comments on the Spring 17 thread and thought we could have our own thread already!
I'm applying with the following:
A&P I: B
A&P II: A
Micro: A
HESI: 94.5
I can't wait to "meet" some of you on here and I've got my fingers crossed for all of us!
I was wondering where you do your clinicals at? Do you get experience in different areas of nursing?
I noticed no one responded to this as far as I'm aware.
I completed the TCC program in December. There are tons of hospitals you could potentially get in each semester and you get experience related to each semester. So for OB you'll be in postpartum, L&D, Newborn etc. You'll do your Adult on general med-surg floors. Adult II with more critical care rotations. Everyone does their pediatric rotations at Cooks Childrens, but other than that you could go a lot of places.

Yea me personally I would still turn my application in because you just never know what the application pool will be like and how competitive it may or may not be. But if your just wanting to wait and bring either the HESI up or retake the Microbiology in hopes of getting an A then I would do that, i just feel doing both would not hurt tho!!
