Fall 2014 SSC/UCF Concurrent Program

U.S.A. Florida

Published

Alright, I know it's early but...who is planning on applying to the Fall 2014 SSC/UCF Concurrent program? I just finished my prerequisites today and I'm so excited to get going. I am planning on taking the TEAS for the first time in January so hopefully I'll do well.

One question I have is what should I do during the spring semester? I completed my AA degree as of today but unfortunately, my family kind of relies on my FA money to get by. I'm wondering if there is an AS degree I can enroll in so that I'm still eligible for FA until the nursing program starts. I saw something for Health Information Technology that might work. Anyway, just thought I'd see who else is applying and if anyone else is in the same financial situation as me.

I hope to get to know some of you soon!

On a side note for some encouragement for everyone...Whoever applied to the UCF Basic program has heard back and almost everyone I know that applied got in! Which is great news for us concurrent students. Less applications now! In turn, the percentage of chances to get in to the program just got higher! :)

Yay! That's great news!! Atleast were heading towards the end of the month now

3 weeks, so close!!!!:p

Also, I'm a little confused because I know that there's no waiting list but if people are going to be turning down seats for the concurrent program, do they go back in and fill the empty spots? How is that possible if they have no list?

Good question joyful...I wonder when the UCF Basic program applicants that were accepted have to claim their seats by?

I saw a post in the UCF Basic thread that said they had until the 16th to reserve their spot.

A friend who is having an issue with her application was in contact with Luisa (can't remember her title but she has a lot to do with the nursing program) at the Altamonte campus and was told that emails should go out this Friday. ???

Yaaaaay!!! I'm so anxious!

Wow!! Thanks for the info! This is amazing news. I can't believe we will hear back so soon.

Does anyone know if we hear from both schools on the same day?

On the information packet provided by the Seminole State nursing home page, it states: "Please be aware, you will be receiving information from both schools. Should you get accepted, you must respond to both." And I know in the other past seminole state feeds, they have received emails from both schools within a few hours of each other.

Oh okay! I was wondering because it would only be half exciting to here from one school
