Fall Semester 2012 Let's Go!!!!

I just want to say some words of encouragement to all the pre nursing students on this site. I have had to make some serious life changes in the last few weeks in order to get ready for the new semester. I'm ready for this challenge and I am so excited about my life journey. I pray that everyone will complete this semester and do their best and get into the programs of their choice. I also pray that God gives us all the strength to endure the late nights of studying and the mind to retain the information needed to pass our classes. Classes start for me in exactly 19 days and I'm ready!!!:w00t:

This post just put a huge smile on my face so thank you! I have been anxiously and nervously been studying for TEAS V knowing that once school starts I won't have as much time to study. I want to enjoy this experience so much but the pressure of knowing I have to pull A's out in these pre req's is a bit nerve racking! I am a stay at home mom to 5 kids ages 5-14 and have waited so long to pursue this dream. I'm thankful every day for the blessings I have been given and just as thankful for finding this site to help keep my sanity over the next year! LOL Prayers and well wishes for everyone!

Yay! So excited to start Anatomy and Physiology this coming Fall! I am scared at the same time, but I am glad to be making a step closer to my goal! I know it will take a long time, but I agree that if God let me to it, he will lead me through it. I also like to wisdom of Yoda - "Do or do not. There is no try." Failure is truly not an option! What an inspiring post, thank you!

well said! school is my full-time job right now. i'm chomping at the bit to get my pre-reqs done!!! 20 more days until school starts again. i'll be taking 6 classes this fall, but i'll be done with pre-reqs in december....yay!!!!!!!!! :D

well put. yesterday i went to the advisement office and i left there feeling like from this moment on i will eat, sleep, and breath nursing school. i've been in for a year now i've done my pre's for enc 1101 "a" a&p lecture both classes i got an "a" lab 1 "a" and i failed my lab 2. so i have to make it up this fall. then the nursing program at my school changed the pre's this year so now i have to take intermediate algebra, and college algebra or statistics. i'm looking to get in my schools program next year august 2013.

so my classes are as follows. fall 2012 math intermediate algebra, anatomy lab 2, and computers (needed and extra class to get loans).

*winter chem for health sciences and chem lab, & college algerbra or statistics. (lord give me strength)

*summer microbiology and micro lab.

you will do fine. i loved anatomy. my lab 2 teacher sucked so bad though..... ughh.. but it's ok i'm still going to make it.

I still have one class left of my summer term (Monday)! I cannot even think of the fall yet! But, I am so blessed to have survived that class with what I think should be an A (A&P II) and am so excited to have 2 weeks off and an awesome vacation with my family! I am taking 9 credit hours this fall - the most I have done since having kids, and I am very excited that it is a huge "check mark" for my list of pre-req classes!

Amen! Let us all stay prayed up not just for ourselves but for others as well. So loving these encouraging post because we never know who may need their spirit lifted. Everybody isnt happy with your success but when you have others that are on the same journey as you & sometimes feel like you & can encourage you to keep pressing its AMAZING! Failure is STILL NOT AN OPTION! As long as you have breath in your body the dream is still alive & you still have a chance!

Am I the only one that has already bought my books for the semester? Lol im so ready and excited to begin. All my classes are online for this semester but im so ready and August 27th cant get here fast enough!

Well I haven't bought mine yet BUT I would if I could! My CC is SO far behind on issuing loans it's insane. I called last week and they said maybe by this Wednesday I would see mine FA available for use in the book store. *sigh* I'm so worried they won't have what I need given that fall classes start August 20th. But when my FA becomes available I will have mine as well! I'm starting my A&P 101 and really wanted to get a jump start reading and preparing so I'm really bummed. I don't have to purchase my math stuff because I finished my summer math early and was given a free pilot program access into my fall semester class but I still need my English Comp and A&P books and kits : ( I'm so excited to get started though!!

I'll be buying my books on Monday. I like to get them early so I have a chance to flip through them before school starts :D

I almost have all of mine. I have three left to buy but the discount textbooks store I am buying them at won't have them until the week before school starts. :/ And they are my micro books and medical term books which I really want to look at now!

I bought mine cash used. I looked on craiglist under books and got all mine for my classes. My CC is pretty slow too. My FA still pending. But i couldnt wait much longer lol i wanted to read ahead.

What site did you get yours at? I want to look and see if i can find the ones i want for next semester. I pay cash for school. So i can still have FA for summer classes.
