Hey guys! I just wanted to have a place for all Fall SCC students to meet and chat. SO excited to start school and get to know my fellow future nurses! Does anyone know what books or supplies we might need or any helpful study tools? Anyone heard about the class schedule or when we get to sign up?
Those two things do not in any way quicken your list through the school. The wait list is exactly the same for everyone no matter what your background is.
If you use the partnership program through Honor Health then you may get in faster depending on the employee wait through your employer.
Current SCC block one student here: our schedule is Tuesdays 8:00 am to 12:30 pm, Thursday from 8 am to 2 pm, and there are a couple of CLA days on Wednesdays as well as Pre-Clinical days on Fridays. Clinical sites can vary, but in our cohort, I believe all of our clinicals are on Friday afternoons with one or two groups Friday Morning.
This always has the ability to change, depending on the clinical sites they secure each semester, and class times may change.
Congrats and good luck! You'll love it!

Hello, there are many other forums that discuss the waitlist. This forum was created for people already in Scottsdale.
BUT, I know how horrible it is to wait. Usually if you are doing CEP the wait is one semester (apply one semester and get in the next). If you are doing just the two years the wait is two semesters not counting summer.

Hi! So I am submitting my application on 4/26/16, and my previous advisor did not help me much at all to be honest. She was very vague with everything. So approx how long do you think the wait time will be for me? If I work for Scottsdale healthcare and also have a previous Bachelors from ASU. My advisor said that it would make it a little bit quicker since I have those 2, but not much. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance guys!
