Fall 2007 nursing school applicants

Published

Hello everyone! Just thought I'd start a thread to see where everyone is applying for Fall 2007! It seems like it will take forever for April to get here! Good luck to everyone who is applying! Also, does anyone know when Texas Christian is sending letters, I think it's April but I couldn't find a month on the website. I applied to TCU and TWU- Dallas.

I was following this thread and was wondering did you all get your letters. I remember several of you applied for the same school. What happened anxious to find out.

ok so southwestern adventist has done away with their adn program and now only have a bsn program. i went up there today and they do have a lvn to bsn program but when i ask her about when the admission deadlines were she says "oh if you have them in by mid july you should be ok to start in august"..am i missing something here... i thought every nursing program had set dates:uhoh3:... i don't know about all this , it cost something like 6k a semester and ill be spending 4 semesters there. that is more than i paid for my house and cars combined....:uhoh21: i still will be short 4 classes and must cram them in during the summer 2 religions, micro- computer applications and a non american history...i can do it but dang....anyone here go to southwestern adventist or know anybody that does....

Admissions there tend to be less competitive for several reasons -

The cost - 'nuff said. Many people are very put off by that quote right up front. However, they have (or did many years ago) great financial aid programs available!

The location - unless you LIVE in that area, it isn't a very convenient commute.

Long commutes to clinical sites for the students who DO live in the area or on campus. Walls and Huge&Ugly are the nearest facilities, and you can't do ALL of your clinicals there. You have to get up very early and do some driving some semesters to make it to clinicals.

The logistics are just more than some people want to manage.

i live about 8 miles from the school but i have decided not to attend. i have to have some financial aid left over and going this route i would have to pay..... i take it you are not fond of huguley.....
