Anyone else taking Assessment for Fall third session?

Suggestions from anyone who has taken it already?

This is so stupid. I just got my grade for week 4 and had 7 points taken off for "missing prioritization of evidence based data"....hmmm maybe the TA should reread my paper because, while my subject, a healthy 3 year old, only had one health problem, that section is not missing. I hate this class...

7 points? Wow that's harsh! And it didn't say we had to have someone with health problems, right?

Right now I have a 96.53 % in this class. I just finished my DB...which is probably not going to cut the mustard for evaluation tool assessement, review thingy, whatever they were asking!!??

Luckily all my assessments were graded 100%, just seemed that I am not good at coming up with the nurse educator portion of this class. I will now be curious to know how I score on these last two Teaching plan assignments including the DB.

Still have two replies left and I will finally be done!! Maybe watch some TV, that would be different.

Specializes in L&D and OR.

2 replies left and I am done with this class!!! Can't wait......next semester I take gerontology, community and music, then excellence and I am done...D.O.N.E. DONE!!!!

Count me on the list of DONE!! Happy Holidays to all my fellow classmates. See you next year.

Pop the cork and pour me some bubbly, I'm done! Back in Jan. with Family Nsg, Evidence based, then Diversity. Merry Christmas everyone!!!

I could kick myself. I worked on assessment for 2 hours this morning, but I guess I didn't save it. I have to redo the entire thing. :banghead:

I am currently working on the abdominal narrative for the last week and I have no clue where to begin. I have followed the sample and plugged all the info from the case study into it but I am half afraid to submit it. Week 2 I was docked 5 points for not having the narrative summary, week 3 I used the SOAP format as the guidelines for writing a narrative suggested and I was not docked any points. Week 4 I did exactly as I did on week 3 and was docked another 5 points because she said I did not include the narrative. I dont get it!!! I am sitting with a 96% but am worried that it is not what she is asking for. Can anyone please give me some insight??

Inconsistent grading has been an issue for many of us.

How I take it, there are 3 parts to this. One part is the subjective info ( just plug stuff in the outline and erase what isn't included in the case study. The second part is the objective ( ie assessment stuff), again take out what is not included in the case study. Third part is the narrative summary, where you write it out, more in a paragraph form, short sentences. Oh and don't forget the problem list.

That is how I have been doing it, and have gotten 100 % on the assessment assignments. but it all depends on your TA

Good luck. I just submitted mine. And am done. Yeah!

Thank you so much! I messaged the TA asking for clarification and all I got from her is that is is "spelled out in the instructions."

Good luck to you as well.

Isn't that just so helpful. :yuck: I wish they would read Bastable. They certainly don't follow her advice.

Grrrrr...just remembered I forgot to underline all the abnormal items in my abdominal assessment. Already submitted it!! Oh well.
