Anyone else taking Assessment for Fall third session?

Suggestions from anyone who has taken it already?

I have a question regarding the health assessment. We need 2 reference & a reference page. Are we suppose to use the references within the health assessment form. I'm confused

I was thinking the same thing!!! Maybe we are suppose to reference our text book... I have no idea.

Where is this located on the site? I don't remember seeing this. Or is this different depending on Online BSN completion vs. Academic Outreach Initative? I am in section 44.

I posted a question on the Q&A board for the course. For the health assessment we are not citing any works other than personal communication from our patient. There was nothing on the "example" paper that listed references.

I guess we are supposed to figure out what they want by osmosis... another example of the assignments being 'clear as mud'...

OK, so I've read the long announcement re assignment for week 1. Now we are told to go to the Evolve web site and view the video/lecture there ( in addition to the 6 chapters to read). We have to buy another download on top of 2 expensive books for the case studies.

And for a DB post that is supposed to be our self reflection on our own healthy lifestyle or lack there of... we have to have 2 references... for the life of me I just dont get that.

The healthy people paper has to be APA with title page and referece page... I get that one, it makes sense.

What do we reference with the compreshensive assessment assignment? Has anyone figured that out?

I'm on overload with this first week. It is way beyond too much. almost .. not humanly possible... I've been working on the assessment assignment for at least 4 hours tonight, at least 2 of it in trying to fomat the stupid genogram. I think I need a drink!

Bless your heart. I have come up with every excuse in the world not to start my homework. I am like you...way too much for the first week.

I am going with the idea of keeping it simple and not over thinking it. Hang in there!! I will start this tomorrow...hopefully.

I had to do a genogram for Family. And everyone else did it on the computer. I chose to draw it out by hand and scanned it into my assignment. I just didn't want to learn how to draw it on the computer. So, I am going to hand draw again and scan.

I think you're better off doing it that way. I tried to do it in Word and it was a mess.

I did in-text citations mostly because I didn't understand the purpose of just creating a reference list. haven't started the comprehensive assessment yet.
