Fall 2018 Miami Dade College

Starting this thread for anyone that have questions or concerns about the 2018 fall nursing program at Miami Dade College. I have a 4.0 science gpa and studying to take the hesi by the end of February. I also plan on applying for the generic full time as well as the accelerated program because I'm not sure which one I want yet. I already have a bachelors from FIU and I literally started all the prerequisites the summer of 2017. If anywho took those sequences can you please share your stories? Pro and con.. And also what is the hesi like!

Are you full or part-time? Medical or Homestead?

I'm sure you guys will here something on Tuesday because we have until Monday to pick which program we wanted. For example, I was pick for generic and Accelerated and I turned down my seat for Accelerated and I know 4 others that has as well that stated so in the WhatsApp group we formed. So that's 5 seats already. So stay positive and Tuesday will be here before you know it! good luck you guys.

This whole week has been a bit difficult ever since I heard people getting there acceptance letters. The anxiety of waiting is not easy! Hoping am in the second batch that i hope goes out next week.

Also about contacting them i haven't had any problem speaking to them and they have been helpful but i would recommend emailing perhaps if you have more questions. I hope the wait is over soon! What ever it is its just killing me ! lol good luck guys

Does any one know exactly how to get the background check done and can help me? I'm so confused and want to make sure that I have enough time to get it submitted.

Also, I'm going to be in the Generic Full time program at the medical campus so if there is a facebook group or anything please le me know! :)

So excited for orientation guys!!!

I also found the background check website and set my appointment but it never let me choose to include the ACHA background test so I'm hoping I did it correctly. haha

Yeah when I did the background check they told me MDC would send me an email in 7-10 business days. It's been a week that I have done my fingerprints. Have any of you gotten an email back from MDC? I just want to get all those documents into complio and not worry about all of this anymore.

They will only send you an email to pick up the Medical background, the ACHA is for the hospitals for clinicals

I did my fingerprint on Friday and they emailed me yesterday to pick it up. Did you give your mdc email or a different one?

I have a question about the background checks. I remember having two options, the AHCA and the MDC one. I scheduled the AHCA finger printing already, but now I am unable to schedule the other one. Am I missing something or are we only required to do one of them?
