Fall 2016 MANE Programs

Hi! Just checking in to see if there are any other pre-nursing students out there applying to the MANE programs for next Fall. I know the applications are due in the next couple of weeks and I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. I've submitted one to Century and am turning in Normandale's on Monday. Still waiting to hear back on a prerequisite waiver for IHCC.

Did you only apply to NHCC? I'm pretty sure if your wait listed at a different campus you can get in for evening weekend.

I don't think any MANE programs offer an evening\weekend option.

Adeenk, I don't know what kind of work you do, but if you're a nursing assistant, you could get a job in a hospital doing second shift during the week and whatever shift works for you on the weekends.

The evening option was the only reason I was considering NHCC at all. Im choosing another program now. I understand your situation.... don't give up though! Some of the other programs are only 3 days a week so maybe you could find something part time? Depends if you bothered applying anywhere else í ¾í´”

This might have to take some strategic planning! I am not in the medical field, but I have a great paying job. My plan was to not take out loans, but as a single mom this may have to change.

FINALLY!!!! Finally got the letter. Accepted to Metro with an 11.86! So excited to start this fall! Congratulations to everyone, and good luck to those playing the waiting game!

I'm so nervous about being wait listed. NHCC has about 20 ppl on the wait list. For all I know J could be #20. I'm wondering if 20 people usually turn down their offer and decide a different school or should I start studying to retake the teas.

For anyone who turned in their Inver Hills nursing acceptance, waitlist, or denial letters, do you remember who it was suppose to be made out too? I think her name was Connie? I'm trying to find out her information again, specifically email address because when I dropped off my waitlist letter in person there was a man covering her desk for her (It was her one day off in the week) and I want to make sure it got to her safely.

Im deciding Century. I work evenings at regions hospital til 1130 so getting up at 7am 4 days a week to go to IHCC is too much. Thanks for the help. Have you decided?

Whiterose, I'm wondering the same thing. Im waitlisted at Century with an 11.14 but I got an 80.07% on my teas. I don't know if I should retake it or just wait.
