Hi! Just checking in to see if there are any other pre-nursing students out there applying to the MANE programs for next Fall. I know the applications are due in the next couple of weeks and I just wanted to hear everyone's thoughts. I've submitted one to Century and am turning in Normandale's on Monday. Still waiting to hear back on a prerequisite waiver for IHCC.

Hi Sarah!
I'm applying to the MANE programs for fall! I'm applying to most of them in the metro area... IHCC, Century, NHCH, Normandale, ARCC and Metro. I still have to take my TEAS test- I'm registered for next Monday. I know I'm cutting it close, but I wanted to give myself maximum study time! :) I've already got all my applications filled out and just need to submit the test scores.
I'm already anxious! I will feel a lot better once I know what my ranked score will be. I'll feel fairly confident if I can get 11.4+
Good Luck to you! Hopefully some more people find this forum and we can all stress out together!

I am also applying for the Fall 2016 semester!
I was hoping you could clarify something for me: do they just evaluate your GPA on the first semester of MANE classes? Or do they look at the overall GPA?
Hi everyone!
bake0905, they only look at your combined GPA of those first 4 MANE classes in the first semester of the curriculum. You do need to have the second semester classes in progress or finished by the time you apply (at least that is the message I got) and those classes need to keep your GPA above a 2.75 but they are not factored in to whether you are accepted into the program or not.
Does that make sense?
Lindsay199, how'd your TEAS go??

Hey there! I've got applications in for NHCC (my first choice), Metro State, and IHCC. I've got an 11.62 composite score. I was wait listed last semester with a 10.79 (I retook the TEAS). I've also heard that anything above an 11.5 is pretty much an automatic acceptance, so I am pretty confident with my standing this time around. I'm currently taking my last prerequisite needed, so all I have left is the nursing core classes and I cannot wait to get my letter!
I am hoping that I am not overly confident, as my heart will absolutely break if I am wait listed again. I've got a 3.7 GPA and a 79.3 TEAS score that I am applying with, and I heard that it's recommended that you have a TEAS over 80 to be competitive. So I am just a big ball of anxious right now.
Hey Guys!
I'm applying to most of the MANE schools... because why not? I've applied to Century, Inver Hills, Anoka-Ramsey, Normandale, NHCH, and Metro State. My composite score is 12.7, except for Normandale I have a 12.2 (but honestly that is my last choice right now).
Assuming some of us get into more than one school, how do you decide? What constitutes "top choices" for you guys? Is there any data pointing towards some nursing programs over the others?
I'm hoping we can keep eachother updated and all end up with GREAT news in March! Good Luck!

Hey Sarah!
I got an 87.6 on the TEAS, so I'm feeling pretty good about my entrance scores! I am dropping off most of my applications today! Thanks for asking! I hope we both get in!!

Thank you for clarifying that for me! I'm just a big ball of anxiousness about this whole thing.
I have a 3.71 GPA and got a 86.0% on my TEAS so fingers crossed that is enough.
A 12.7 is phenomenal! I know at IHCC my composite came to 12.4 so we'll see! I don't know exactly what any of my other composite scores are but my TEAS score is what's helping me the most.
I finished and turned in my apps for Century, IHCC, and Normandale. I definitely hate the waiting though and that's all we can do now. What is your first choice for programs?
My top choices are Century, IHCC and North Hennepin... I'm really not sure how I'm going to decide if I get into more than one. I'll have to do some more digging to find out specifics about the programs!
Wellllll maybe now I shouldn't be so confident. Looks like a lot more people have higher scores this time around. I really don't have the heart to not make it again this time.
