Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

I started before because I knew I would get in somewhere lol and the Lonestar website tells you what you need ??‍♀️ but the titers are good for 3 years so they won't expire by the time you guys are done with the program. Basic CPR certification, I can understand wanting to wait on that since it expires every 2 years however, you're always gonna need it for as long as you're practicing as an RN so it should be no big deal to renew when it's time. Plus you got the plug ?. If you're getting the TB skin test rather than the PPD blood draw then yes wait on that it expires every 6 months to 1 year. It's not going to matter if you guys start them now or when you get the letters really. But if you want to be safe and sure it's what you need then yes, wait.

Hey does anyone happen to know what Cyfair's LVN class schedule is like? Like generally how much time would you spend in class. I'm thinking I might need to retake micro(missed a lab.. dropped a whole letter grade) but don't know how I'd work it in.

Tomorrow marks 2 weeks, hopefully we get some news soon! The waiting period is always the worst!

Hi everyone. Do you think that everyone with a minimum score of 7 and above would most likely get accepted to Lonestar North Harris because i heard that even people with a 6.8 were getting accepted and/or getting put on the alternates list. I have a solid 7.376 do you think i have a fair chance?

From looking at the older forums I seen people get accepted with a score lower then yours . You have a fair chance.

Is Lone Star North Harris not as competitive as the rest ? I know by looking at the forums most people chose elsewhere

They are all very competitive North Harris just accepts more. They accepts about 120 and the other campuses do about 50-80

Ohhh I meant time as in hour wise. Like do they stop sending emails around 5pm or something? Just curious cause I hate having to refresh my email every hour. ?

Oh i think it’s varies! From last year forum they got them in waves at different hours

but you aren’t the only checking every hour lol
