Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

I’m sorry for the wrong info but what I will say is that I was paying for so much at the beginning of the semester that I started borrowing money from family because there was sooo much stuff to get. Definitely try and get a head start on some things if you can. You are “kinda” required to get the bag! But if you can purchase the items individually that’s fine also! As long as you show up to lab with the proper items there should be no problem

Lol. Don’t laugh at me ... I just looked at the receipt and I paid 190 plus tax. Honestly though, at the beginning of the semester we paid for so much stuff at one time to the point where I didn’t know where the hell my money was going.

I know, there is so much to get, not mention books!! My husband and I work full time and we live comfortably at this point. But I know I will have to cut back hours, and I know its a lot of money upfront. I have already started seeking out sponsors. My parents mostly Hahahaha who are so excited I am going on this adventure they would help with anything. How do you feel about laptops?? Do you think they are necessary? I want a MacBook and I'm trying to convince my husband I need it. ?

Lmao ?! Laptops are definitely necessary. So I was just like you. I wanted a brand new shiny laptop. So I purchased the the Windows Surface Pro for 1200$. I don’t think it’s worth the price tag but I love it. Tell your husband to get you that damn laptop because you will be using it in both lecture and lab.

If you do get a Macbook don't forget that they offer student discounts. It's not much but every little bit helps.

??? The sponsors!!!! hahahaha! I've been doing the EXACT same thing. Pricing MacBooks and telling my husband that I need one. I asked my in-laws for a littmann, mom said she's buying my uniforms.... fixin to hit up my siblings next, they just don't know it yet. ??

All I know is, these items better all count as a tax deduction come next year! lol

That's funny huh, to call them sponsors as an adult. My dad got a kick out of that, but he agreed to all my terms. ? No one is budging on the MacBook, if I can get them to buy everything else I can save my cash for it. LOL. We should definitely reach the amount for next tax season for a write off. If we can just get these acceptance letters and plan for our future. I was stalking the transition page and I was so excited for them. This week they are still getting emails regarding their schedule. I hope they are preparing to send ours out by end of week or next week. Transition Track said June too so I'm hoping for some excitement this week. ?

Yeah, I saw that it still says June for transition as well. I hope you're right and we get our notifications soon. It's hard to move forward when you're not sure which direction you're heading in. We'll know soon enough though, I'm sure!

We should be hearing soon about acceptance letters

transitions got theirs 12 days after their deadline

and today is our 12th day so hopefully soon!
