Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Does anyone know if you complete a background check for one program will that be valid for all programs. I was trying to start the process for the Cyfair LVN through castle branch but I don't want to pay for it twice if I do end up getting into an RN program.

I would definitely take it before the program begins. I took it online. I think I only had to go on campus for the final if I'm not mistaken. Got an A.

Sent my application to the basic track with a score of 7.728 and M CF T as my choices. Kind of hate that I have to wait 2 more years before starting a steady career but I figure those 2 years are going to pass anyways. I can be 2 years older with an ADN or 2 years older regretting not applying.

Does anyone know what the general ratio of males to females is? I'm a dude and curious. I see a couple of guys in blue scrubs walking around the B building.

Great score, Brendanfraserfan! I am unsure of the ratio of male to female nurses, but you can be a trailblazer for other men wanting to conquer the nursing profession. Best of success in your future, B!

So I’m officially starting greys anatomy ( 9 full seasons on Netflix) today, hopefuls this keeps me busy until April lol!!!

did you take this as a summer course or full semester? Glad to hear you got an A!!! I am so nervous and questioning whether or not I should take it online over the summer since I know it'll be a bigger load in such a short amount of time but I also don't want the stress of taking it during the program either.

Hey! I took it in the summer of last year. Lots of work but very doable! I have a family that is very busy especially with a 2yr old, and pulled an A. You just have to stay on top of your assignments and quizlet helps a lot. I learn best by questions.
