Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

The academic insurance is a Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance plan that they offer to students of Lonestar and I'm sure other colleges. It's for people that are not included on a group plan or parents insurance Etc like me LOL. It does have great benefits though they pay 80% of almost everything and 100% of prescriptions it also has vision if you need glasses so I'm going to get a whole bunch of stuff done to make it really worth my while lol. I was able to download my insurance card and upload it to Castle Branch as well. They have yearly rates which are overall cheaper than the three months plans, but I'm not the type of person that has that kind of money lol.

after so much haggling and filing a missing mail with usps I received my blue card! I'm so relieved! just waiting on tb skin test results & titers and i'm done!
I'm currently trying to enroll with Lone Star's Academic Health Plan for the health insurance requirement. It says we have to have a minimum of 12 credit hours but it looks like my three nursing courses are 2, 3, 5, which makes it 10 credit hours.
Anyone know any easy BS class to take so i can meet this 12 hour requirement? Or does anyone know of any annual health insurance agencies that are still taking enrollments? I keep finding monthly.

That is for Summer, if I'm not mistaken. It let me get it, and I'm not even in Summer courses.

American Music is an easier class that I took that was an easy A and fulfills an elective requirement for the AAS, and it's fun too lol. Nutrition is another one I've heard is an easy A. Physical Education could be another way to go. Or learn Arabic!

Mine was $495 for 3 months, I am not sure about payments, which would have been nice! But now all my screenings and vaccination / titers will be paid for, so I did get some benefit out of it.
