Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Every campus is a little bit different. Some even change schedules between semesters and between years. Most are going to be some variation of 2 days of lecture, 1 day of lab and 1 day of clinical. Kingwood is the only campus where you may be in evening classes. And if I remember correctly, I think Montgomery's Summer session is 5x a week. That may just be the transition program though. Not 100%.
My cousin is graduating NH's ADN program in May. She has class twice a week, lab one day and clinical another day. And she loves NH by the way. She says its a great program. They have been working on building up their reputation apprently after some troubled years... or so the rumor goes.

Thank you so much for that information. I was a little nervous about NH being that they accept the most students out of all of the campuses and was wondering how the professors interacts with each student. But I'm glad to know that it's a great program because it's closer to me than Montgomery and being that my score is a 7.536 I may have a better chance at getting into NH. Do you by chance know where NH completes their clinicals?

Why did you only apply to one school? A 7.3 would most likely get you into at least 1 school, but I’m not sure of the average cut off score in the past for Tomball. Scores seem to be getting higher each year. I definitely think you have a shot though.
Hey Y'all, Accionursingbook sent me a message about questions on here about Montgomery's Schedule. I'm in 2nd Semester at Montgomery.
*Every year/semester changes happen. I can only speak for LSC-M*
First 3 weeks of Fall were M-F 0800-1700
-The reality is you won't be there 100% of that time but you won't get your personal schedule until basically day 1 so working during that period is difficult.
Lecture's (2) - Monday and Tuesday morning's
Lab's (2) Either Mon/Wed Afternoon or Tues/Thur Afternoon depending on clinical
Clinical (1) Wed/Thur/or Fri depending on group. No choice offered. 0600-1700
*All exams are Monday mornings - Every other week.
*Not every week will be the same schedule. You'll get a calendar day 1 which will let you know your personal schedule based upon your clinical group.
*They rec. not taking any other courses.
You have 4 days a week in The Woodlands area, year one. 3 of those days are until the late afternoon/early evening. I am 60 miles from campus. I held a part time job most of semester one but it got to be too much with my commute. I spend about 18 hrs a week commuting (ugh) and was working part time about 24 hrs. Those 40 hrs almost broke me. Without the commute I believe I could have managed a PT job the whole semester. Semester 2 doesn't have as many labs and I feel ready to work PT again.
Second year there is no lab. You're only getting 2 lectures and a clinical.

I wish everyone luck. LSC-M was my 1st choice even though it's the furthest from me.
