Fall 2019 Lonestar Hopefuls

Hey everybody. I'm not sure if it's too early but I'm making this page for anybody who is applying to the nursing program at Lonestar College for the Fall of 2019. Looks like Montgomery, Cyfair, and North Harris have applications from Jan 7-April 12. Good luck to everyone!

Going to south padre, TX for our 5 year anniversary this weekend. Hopefully when I come back letters come out ?

Just ignore it love! I’m taking me own advice! This forum was made for support,thoughts, and encouragement! We all have all given our thoughts and opinion and we all keep each other informed about what we hear! We are suppose to support each other because we all have the same end goal! GETTING INTO NURSING SCHOOL and bettering our future!!

This is an ADMIN request.

This thread has been continuously reported for off-topic non-supportive conversation bringing it down and making it a one-on-one-personal-back-and-forth-almost-resulting-in-a-knock-down-drag-out fight.

PLEASE stop doing this.

Members are anxious and on edge about getting into the program. They come here for the supportive conversation as well as to share information about the program.

PLEASE stop telling members what they can and cannot post. If the info is correct, others will verify, too. If it is not correct, it's perfectly acceptable to add the correct information. But, PLEASE ... do so respectfully.

If there is ever a post that you think is against the TOS, report it instead of engaging.

Be supportive.

Who has taken Nutrition? Is that a hard class can I take that with another science class?

No one wants to read through all these private conversations and speculation. If someone gets solid, confirmed information, please share.

The reason that everyone was hoping for letters sooner was because when we applied the LSC website stated that notifications would be sent out in April. That was our original expectation, so when they started to say June and changed the website to say June, we all were a little upset. I agree that the emails will go out when they go out but it is irritating that the date was changed after everyone submitted their applications. Also LVN applicants got their letters 2 weeks after the application closed, so it's not completely wrong to hope for a sooner date.

I took it online at HCC and it was a pretty simple class, except the instructor was difficult to handle. She would yell at us in emails and change assignments around which made things more stressful than it needed to be.

I took Nutrition, Microbiology + Lab, human growth & dev & psych in the same semester. I found nutrition to be one of the more facilitated and easy courses. I did have a great professor supported by her TA. Maybe you can ask around for suggestions by students who took it at your university? For the most part, you can get the best info like that. But you can do it! Making flash cards based on the notes was the best way for me to earn my A in nutrition. I literally made a flash card for every single thing. Hope that helps!

It was super easy in my opinion. I took it online and then the tests were at the testing center.

I took Nutrition course for my bachelor and honestly it’s a simple course i use to watch empire in class lol
