Hey everyone, just wanted to start a Fall 2018 page for Lone Star ADN/LVN future students!

hey i have a question.. when you do you nursing application, we get to choose more then one campus ... like I'm selecting kingwood As my first and cy fair as my second.. how to they determine to pick you for either choice

If you don't get accepted into your first choice, then it's passed along to your second choice. You'll have a better chance of getting into Kingwood than Cyfair as Kingwood accepts 80 and Cyfair accepts 50 I think.

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted!!!! I was wondering if you guys could answer a couple of questions for me. I am currently a alternate for this application. I need to re-take English to make a A instead of a B, but I took English at another university the first time. Does anyone know if Lonestar will use the higher grade for my points? Lastly, does the pocket prep help with the hesi? Currently sitting at a 85% on that. Any feedback from you guys would be greatly appreciated.

Lone star takes your most recent english grade. As far as the app I didn't use it but everyone I know that used it, speaks highly of it. If you re-take engl and get an A and assuming you already have an A in A&P then your score would be a 7.4, which in my opinion is good enough to not retake hesi. Maybe you should see a nursing adviser.

The pocket prep app was a good add on to the study book. Depending on what topic you need to strengthen. If all of them, I would rec both the book and app. You can rent the book on amazon.
