Hi, I will be applying to hcc for fall 2020. My stats are:

overall gpa- 3.35

pre req gpa-3.5

teas- 75%

Do I have a chance of getting into the program for the fall term?

I’m also planning to apply for the Fall 2020 term! I’m nervous since the last two terms were extremely competitive. I was scheduled to take the TEAS on April 6th. I emailed the plant city testing center, and they confirmed that HCC Health Science departments is waiving the TEAS requirement for the Fall admission cycle. Were you able to get a refund from ATI?

Yes! I called ATI and provided the testing center. They are offering refunds ?

My overall GPA is a 2.385 (I dealt with health issues first two years at my prior university. Brought my GPA up from a 2.022 to that after four semesters at HCC) and my pre-reqs GPA is currently a 3.0, but looking to be a 3.5-3.7 after I finish my Micro lecture and lab. I have Professor Bacheller for lecture (anyone have experience with him??) Again, applying for Fall 2021 and I’m camped out in this thread to get info about cutoff gpas and etc. Planning to move to Plant City or Brandon Fall of this year!

Don’t be nervous! I’m sure everyone will do amazing!

Hi!! I'm also applying after going to USF for my pre reqs and unfortunately not getting accepted into their upper division . hoping to do asn w hcc and then RN to bs w usf!

Do you guys have knowledge of the statistics of the averages of people who get in? Is it first attempt grades?

I have a 3.68 overall GPA and I'm not sure how to calculate the pre req GPA. is it only specific classes from the pre reqs that contribute to the GPA or all of them?

It’s only the pre-req classes that will count. Nothing else. If you go to a GPA calculator online and insert those classes, you’ll get your GPA for those courses.

Hey y'all, so with this whole coronavirus thing, it's been kind of difficult for me to find answers regarding nursing. I plan to apply for fall but I'm confused as far as admissions go? Firstly, on the nursing application it says that I need my hcc transcripts and my high school transcripts, but why would I need those if I've been going to HCC for almost 2 years now? Don't they technically already have them? And I took TEAS at HCC and scored an 80%, however I'm not sure how they want me to give them my results? Again I imagine that they already have these things? I guess I just don't understand how they want me to provide these things for the application? Have I overthought this? I dunno I'm just getting very anxious! Good luck to everyone and be safe!

@Briannanana If HCC is the only college you’ve attended, they have both your high school and college transcripts. As for the TEAS, HCC will only have your score if you took the exam there. If you took it at another testing center, you have to go on ATI’s website and pay to have your results sent to HCC! I hope that makes sense :)

Hi everyone,

I recently submitted my application. If you guys have any questions, feel free to ask me

I got a message yesterday saying that they’re switching to a different form of turning in the application. The advisor told me they won’t accept mailing or turning it in on campus, so he said that the move now is to email your application to health sciences. I will be doing mine shortly but I wanted to make sure other people got the message also?

Yes, that is correct. The Fall 2020 term application submission are through email. Make sure to use your HCC hawkmail.

Send your application to [email protected]

Also for the subject line of the email, make sure to write something like "Fall 2020 Nursing Application"

Don't forget to submit your application along with a copy of your application fee payment receipt

Hi so I submitted my application in February after taking the TEAS. I mailed my application in with a prestamped letter. I received the letter a few weeks ago but nothing showed updated in the system. Upon seeing the message about the email application, I checked Web Advisor and it's showing my application as being received and under review. I guess since mine was submitted prior to the lock down it was processed but I am going to email the Health Sciences department just to confirm that I won't have to submit again via email.

Thanks for the information guys and good luck.

Hey guys, I have a question in regard to cohort selection and scheduling classes. Are we assigned a cohort based on our preferences, and then given a date and time to schedule our classes based on that cohort? Like if we are admitted into the Dale Mabry morning cohort, do we strictly select classes in the morning? Thank you!
